Did you actually listen to Frank’s response or just read the tweet that summed up one tiny part of the 60 second video? Frank’s response was almost all positive and of course the tweet quotes the only part that can be considered negative and leaves out all the context.

There is nothing wrong with what he says. Yes, those 3 clubs are clearly more attractive at the moment. Maybe separate your dislike of the current club performances and try to listen to without bias.

There’s already plenty of stuff to be negative about, no need to invent some more.

Starting to find it odd how the press are giving him such an easy ride. Ange was hounded every day and night and bombared with constant questions about his pedigree, his career etc! Frank has a much less storied career and gets a pass when he has a worse record than Ange and the football he plays is a million X more boring

Actually, Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Bayern, United, Woolwich, Juventus, Madrid, Athletico, PSG, Inter, AC, Barca, Napoli are more attractive to players than Spurs, with Newcastle, Villa, Villareal, Roma, Dortmund knocking on the door - not to mention the Suadi $$$$.

If Spurs want to buy established players, they need to overpay, overpromise and take risk - which isn't very Spursey!

Who knew he would be a snivelling, transparent little wet wipe who is grovelling to his boss to try and keep the job he is performing so badly in.
I for one am shocked, shocked I tell you.....

I heard the entire interview a few times part of my job. You’re being extremely presumptuous on the basis of my dislike, What is ‘almost positive’ is that akin to being almost pregnant?

What I get/ hear from Frank is that the clubs that are better than us, that our fanbase needs to be better, the club set up needs to be better, players make mistakes at crucial moments etc etc

You know what I don’t hear from our manager what’s he done wrong, how has he negatively impacted play, players, fans because as far as he’s concerned he’s almost always correct. He doesn’t hesitate to talk us down (unlike the last bloke who’d actually challenge the question ie: what does ‘better’ mean for starters)

Plus how do you separate my dislike for the club performance from the man who’s directly responsible for it appears to have little idea how to alter but content to always have some veiled criticism of everything that’s us. The club he left seems to be doing much better without him despite losing their top performances if that’s not a reason to be negative then what is?

For all his faults, and there were plenty, Ange stuck it to the media and agendas.
This guy won't ruffle any feathers for fear of losing the "nice guy" image. His pressers have become as boring as his football.

Without Tel we really lack a player who visibly wants to win. I know that sounds mad, but you can see he has that bit about him. He needs to play alongside Xavi, Odobert, Gray and Bergvall. The way forward is to trust those we have invested in, and give them a chance to grow. Falling back on Bentancur (who isn’t the same player we signed), Palhinha, etc doesn’t benefit us. Kinsky should also start in goal so we can actually make the most of playing out.

The way he is talking makes me think he is on the cusp of being sacked

Maybe. Sounds like everything is really cosy in his world too. All very 'aligned'. That side of it bothers me

IF we are aligned, thats a great worry to me. Suggest they believe in his Brentfordification of Spurs, and that he's actually making progress....

Theres things he says that really grate with me, but this sort of comment just feel like a bit of an own goal. Dont explicitly bother me, but over time it gives a sense of "oh come on Frank read the room...."

Saw someone say the other day "He's just being blunt like Danish people are, like the Dutch". Im not familiar enough with Danes to know, but do know thats a very Dutch attribute. Put through that lens a lot of his comments dont bother me - clearly he makes it easy to take them as a negative though which doesnt help him

Especially when we are playing so badly, its not like hes got some great work to lean back on

He (the poster) didn't say "almost positive", you're missing a word out, he said "Frank’s response was almost all positive", meaning that although he did say those 3 clubs are more attractive than us right now, we are also still very attractive, and he gave lots of reasons why we are attractive. You can say some positive things and some negative things when giving an opinion, that is allowed (and no not in any way similar to being 'nearly pregnant' as that's binary), here he says far more positive things than negative (he is very generous to us in fact).

I agree with your 3rd paragraph entirely, but that's not what this little snippet was about. Indeed, there are many things in that paragraph that we should be annoyed with - as bonaspur23 said, there are plenty of legitimate things to moan about, this little snippet where Frank says we are a still great attraction to players for many reasons, but less so than those 3 clubs, is not one of them.

EDIT: And btw for full disclosure, I'm "Frank Out", I think we're going nowhere with him - I just prefer to focus my dislike of him and his methods on the parts that are actually worthy of criticism.

These quotes, FFS:

"I think the biggest thing is that we are completely aligned with the ownership," Frank said.

"Vinai is one of the best communicators I ever met, as a CEO, leader or whatever, he is absolutely excellent in that.

"I think I'm OK, but he is way superior, which I think is crucial internally and externally.

"He's calm and he takes sensible decisions - two rare abilities in football. He understands the journey we're on."

Sporting director Fabio Paratici has continuously been linked with a move back to Italy with Fiorentina during recent weeks, but remains in place at Spurs.

Frank said: "We're paying his wage, he's working very hard."

How’s this bad?

And after all that, since day 1 he’s mentioned the scum positively.

He literally told us “we can never be as good as Woolwich who went unbeaten, we will miss games “

He talks them up like some impossible level we can never reach and that fans should be happy with what he’s serving up instead expecting to compete with them.

People can argue whether he’s right or not. It’s irrelevant. There’s no need to say it. It’s like he’s trying to programme the fanbase to soften on the rivalry and be more accepting of them being permanently better than us.

A bit off topic but in spain for clubs like real madrid and barcelona they have presidential elections where fans vote who should be running their club. We should do that at our club imo where season ticket holders and members vote every 4 years.

Doesn’t want to hand them the title though I’m assuming?
