Awfully sad news. One of my Dad's favourite players and I loved reading about him in the 'Glory Glory Nights' book when I was a kid. Wished I could have seen him play. RIP Chiv

Apropos of nothing.. Brian Moore really hated us. Every time we scored it was an absolute disaster by the sound of him.

RIP Martin , first game at WHL 1976 ish I think, George Graham headed Man Utd in front and big chiv drilled the equaliser in the bottom corner
I met him a couple of times , went up on the coach with him when we pipped City to CL spot with the Crouch goal . A true gentleman

For me Chivers represents the Spurs period of cup winning / semis / finals from 1970 -1974.
A special player and great man.

As an after thought; I do hope someone with Spurs kudos gets in that dressing room tonight and makes it clear nothing less than a win will do.
I know we can rely on our magnificent support to honour Chivers; not so sure about some of these players.

I too was lucky enough to meet him in Milan with Pat Jennings and Ossie. Really lovely man. I'll dig out the photo.
