Just watched Frank presser and he talks biggest bullshit. The supporters will. Not be fooled and will soon show him.Still talking about Kulu will be out for at least another month and kudos out till march. As for Solanke who knows as Frank never tells the truth. We need buys now not 3 weeks time.but who would want to come to a mess like us.The owners must prove their boasts and be ruthless and get rid of Frank now

Frank in his press conference:

I think there's a couple of things in it. I think the last five games we played, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Brentford, Sunderland and Bournemouth, I think it's been consistent, good competitive performance through the roof? No, but good competitive, consistent performances and that's what you need in a long season. Those five games should have given us more than the five points we got, probably eight, nine, 10 points.

And if you get that from those games, it's different. So that's what we're focusing on. Can we produce performances like that last night? Overall, like the performance, it's my job to deal with all the scrutiny. It's no problem, I can face all the questions, I'll take all the blame, I'll take all that.

Also, my job is to look through everything and look through the defeat last night. Of course, it was very emotional and tough to take for everyone, but I think it was in many ways good and we deserve more from that. So we just need to keep doing that, especially the last two games, it's a minimum of four points we should have, if not more. So we just need to keep doing that. And the next thing is, it's almost the perfect storm.

In a storm, some are building fences and hiding behind it, others are building windmills and getting stronger and getting more energy and learning from it.

I think, considering what the thinks he see's vs what I see - he is building a tiny windmill. While stood behind a 10ft fence.

And all the football is the other side of the fence.

The consistency with us is we are consistently poor, consistently negative, consistently unimaginative, consistently giving up easy shots.... Thats not consistency I want and its not consistency that gets us 2pts a game like he thinks we deserve

I realise he sees his job to be positive etc, but it HAS to be grounded in some reality at least...

Remember this infamous sequence where Palhinha the destroyer was backing off of a player inside our own third despite having the insurance of a 5 man defense behind him?

Is Frank just terrified of the alternative reality where defenders rush at the player on the ball on these occasions, only for the latter to tear the entire defense apart with a nifty through ball to leave a teammate 1v1 with the keeper? That's the only semi-reasonable explanation that I could come up with.

I get it to some degree; but being this close to the goal well inside the shooting range, the player on the ball becomes the primary threat himself. Besides, like the sequence above, he can still find the exact pass that Frank is trying to prevent with this strategy.

Did he play like that for all of the rest of his career?

I suspect 'no'

So why is he suddenly doing it now? Presumably instructions from the coaching team.

I think, especially in football, the most important thing is to keep the noise out. Then you can see there's this situation with the post from Cuti. There could be others where it's maybe not that positive or a lot of people speaking.

When we want to attract players, we need to tell our, as close to possible, unbiased story and a good story about this fantastic, beautiful club and why you should come to the club. I'm pretty sure that clever players and agents can look through if there's a little bit of noise.

I think it's very important to stress that even though there's noise, the club is very aligned. Johan, Vinai and I are very aligned. Ownership is very aligned. We know it's a tough spell that we need to get through.

aligned aligned aligned, every single interview

Are the ownership, Vinai and co really on board? Really?! How can they be?

I think after Cuti became the captain he's done a lot of good things right. I said it when I named him the captain that even though he's an experienced player, he's tried a lot, he's still a young leader. And I think a lot of the things he's done well on and off the pitch I'm happy with.

I'm actually very happy with his performance last night, I think he was a true captain in many ways throughout the game. Speaking at half-time when we were 2-1 down, keep believing, keep doing the right things. But also when you're a young leader sometimes you make a mistake, of course it's good to keep it internally.

Johan and I had a good conversation with him this morning about everything, which we of course keep internally.

I dont know if Im reading too much ITK, taking too much from reports etc, but Johan and I sticks out to me - does feel like a possible divide doesnt there? As in its Frank and Lange vs the rest.

Could be total bollocks, I admit

Why are we so shit?

It's not solely down to one man although it's starting to look as if the job is too big for him.

I'm tired of us being shit, would settle for decent on their day at this point.

I don't think I've ever been so disinterested in football, in general not just in Spurs but our being utterly shit doesn't help. Football at the top level feels like one big money-laundering scam, no romance left in it.

Fuck this guy off please. Minimum of 4 points against Sunderland and Bournemouth? What a cunt. We are not fucking Brentford. Even Brentford now scores 7 goals against these two teams.

He's fucking small time. Everytime when I wish to feel sorry for him he just irks me with his cowardice and inferior complexity when managing us.

No mention of Paratici

Who by all accounts is very much not aligned with Frank and Lange

I suspect when they go it'll be two birds with one shot

Ossie Ardiles style though isn't it - we finished quite low because we attempting to simply outscore the opposition. That isn't setting out to try and win games - that was never done, realistically. We set out to attack expecting to win, which was the arrogance that had us still attacking when we could have been more pragmatic.

e.g 1-1 with two men down, 23 mins left to play against a bitter rival, having been unbeaten and top of the league

That was the game that I think every other PL club clocked on to and made us predictable idiots.

Spectacle for the neutral maybe, but I don't believe spurs fans walked away from the games like that happy once the reality set in. It was of course short lived, because we ended up playing like that without the attacking part later on.
I liken that game to immunisation. Chelsea demolished a weaker version of Angeball and then everyone knew how to nullify it.

He is incredibly blind to what’s around him!

I get that managers want to put a positive spin on

Its their job to do a bit of cheerleading etc

But with Frank its beyond that, its just gaslighting

And I imagine he's exactly the same when talking with the board etc, all layers, and positive, and consistent and buzzword buzzword

Surely they cant be falling for it?
