I think Davies at LB showed the absolute benefit of having a left footed LB
Spence does well defensively, but he doesnt offer enough in attack from LB
Its like to see Spence have a run at RB to be honest, theres an argument to have him in as a more defensive presence in some games - even moving into a back 3 when we attack, allowing others to move forward/wide

Whats the point of playing him on the left when he cant cross with his left, and instead he inverts in central areas where his skillset, albeit poor should be utilised on the right?
Just simply passing to midfielders is not good enough when you attack with 11 and defend with 11.
At least then, Spence can cross the ball at RB and we bring in a senior LB. Not a 19yo Souza or an injury-prone Udogie that isnt consistent.
Frank is causing some of the damage himself, even though I believe the players capabilities aren't at the highest standard.

Amen. The fact that Spence keeps getting played on the left, when his left foot is barely a kickstand, is laughable squad management.

We had a chance when Cuti was out suspended to try Djed as a pairing with Mickey,Ben left and Pedro right.
Big Kev just isnt the answer there although honest enough.
It was a missed opportunity as Djed has all the tools to play there as played there in youth teams and had remember great game there filling in one time. .. Plus on the right side would be able to give that extra cover to Pedro when needed.
Presumably you'd want rid of Van de Ven as well then seeing as he hasn't really shown anything exemplary as far as attitude is concerned either?
VDV gives his all on the pitch despite coming across as a bit big for his boots at times.
Spence gives me vibes of thinking ‘he’s arrived’ and has been very complacent with it in recent games.

Haven't seen that myself when you say failing to track back like what example can you give? Not sloppy touches oh no.
It doesn't make sense to sell players like Spence before we upgrade on him anyway, that's not how you build a squad.
Lol..he's way better he just been utterly ineptly developed, Pochettino would have made him a better fullback than Rose Spence starts from a way higher floor. Spence terrifies me because he has stalled playing wrong side and just like VDV STILL has holes in his game. Then I think about Moore, Williams-Barnett, Byfeild, Vuskovic and Ive zero faith in the clubs ability to teach them.
Playing fullback is all about position and having the physicality to go up and down attack space and understand distance to the touch line when facing opposing players. I played it and can tell when the fundamentals are missing. Oh and its clear he doesn't along with what looks like the entire back four and keeper have any respect for the current boss
He’s given the ball away and just given up to recover it a few times. I can’t remember the specific games. His performances nose dived after the England call up.
I’m not saying ship him out before we have a competent replacement in and there’s others I’d get shot of first, but he’s definitely one I’d want to upgrade upon as I just don’t like his attitude.
