Saw plenty highlights where his first touch is Richarlisonesque. And them games looked like Sunday kickabouts.
This season Santos was one of the worst teams I've ever watched and If It wasn't for Neymar they would be relegated again. What caught me the eye most of their games was the fact none of their players could control or pass a football, seems a good fit for us.

I think every football supporter could clearly see that without Kane we're simply a mid table team. ENIC rested on their laurels, when they should have been getting top drawer midfield and attacking players when Kane was at the club, so when he did leave, it wouldn't have been such a drastic drop off. Now with Frank a relatively unknown manager, and no star players, the club struggle to attract the quality that we want.

A bit like Southampton with Matt Le Tissier, but the difference is our club could pretty much afford any players it wanted.
Southampton finished 8th and got to an FA Cup Final in the season after Le Tissier retired.

I wonder if we’re heading to 3 at the back.

Our fullbacks are all better wingbacks - Souza, Spence, Porro and Udogie.

Throw in Vuskovic and 352 or 343 seems like a good fit. Romero and VdV would relish covering the space behind the wingback too.
I agree. Then a solid base in front would allow wing backs to attack plus let VDV and Romero do their ball carrying thing too. It’s not like any of our wingers are pwopa elite anyway

Leif Davis would've been the same price ish. English, experienced playing in the Prem & Champo, no need for a work permit, clever lad...

If you have wing backs with speed and a good engine I've always thought it was a very difficult formation to defend against. The occasions when Rose and Walker played together the season we came 2nd to Chavs (who werent in Europe so one game a week and no overseas flights/stays) we looked dynamite, even on a smaller WHL pitch.

I also think it's easier to identify youth that suit. Ideally get a conveyor belt of super athletic kids and then focus on getting them to cross with both feet. Hey presto.

This managing a football club is easy after all innit!

We’ll know from his first few touches which direction his career is going to go.
Wow - normally our fans at least give a player a few games before deciding he's totally useless, this fella is only going to get a few touches? :/

It's going to be a big change for him, not just the football, but the whole life - I certainly won't be writing him off if nerves, or not yet being adjusted to the pace of our game, or whatever, means that he miscontrols a couple of balls or messes up a couple of passes in his first game. If the fans are on his back from day one, he'll never have a proper chance to show us whether or not he can become a useful player for us.

If he's even half the player that Emerson Royale was, we've got a real talent on our hands
