Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This speaks volumes for the hiring disaster on and off the field by Levy. I mean who else would hire a convicted felon to handle financial football deals who was found guilty of inflating transfer fees?

I mean for fucks sake think about that for a minute?

I don't think Vinai, Charrington or Carlos will lose any sleep over this but it will now be interesting and tell us so much more on what will now happen to Lange?
Villa and Chelsea were inflating transfer fees last season to get round FFP. Sold each other players at way above value.
Everton had a dabble as well. What Fabio did is common practice in Italy. He just got caught.

N'daye, Fatawu, Frimpong, Dialo, Mcginn, Skelly,Wirtz, that's just off my head honestly don't think it stacks up. None over 5'10 if you have the technical ability and core strength you can. And for the record the player we are talking about Angelo Stiler is six foot tall. It isn't stature its about physicality. Wharton will on occasion get found wanting but under a good coach is well worth accommodating in my opinion so is Stiller. I won't shift on this.

You are basically proving my point, it's not just about being 6ft tall you are dead right about that but it definitely about core strength as you put it.
To make it in the premier League imo you have to be physically strong in most cases or amazingly technical.
Not many physically weak players succeed in the EPL in 2026

The Kudus disrespect does my nut in.

More assists than Doku, Rogers and Minteh.

One of the best creators in the League whilst being doubled up every game due to oppositions leaving our left to it's own devices as they're no danger.

Just you wait until the left is sorted and Kudus gets freedom.

He's certainly much better than Akliouche.
He is also out injured for the next 3 months!

I would take Bassey from Fulham over Van De Ven. Strong, hard and unflinching.

We should be looking at himself, and I bet he isn't at Fulham for too much longer.
I like Bassey, but everything else you said is a special kind of madness sauce. I understand your frustrations with VDV's perceived petulance but I wouldn't swap him for anyone else in the prem, let alone sodding Bassey. VDV bails us out game after game, largely because Romero has once again given up on defending, plus he's a unique threat when the opportunity presents itself. Everyone sitting here casually swapping him away for x amount and x player is going to be routinely buggered by the mess that will be thrust upon us if/ when he leaves

As far as I amconcerned,we need a team that is worthy, and that is about combinations and players that give everything, and not prima donas.

If our defenders were so good, we would be a fair bit better than we are.

Not changing my viewpoint that Van De Ven is nowhere as good as he and some on here think.
