Every now and then I get something right.

If Frank doesn’t manage to save himself, I’m willing to bet this guy will be kept on as the interim until we decide what to
Completely agree, I think this may prove to be the most important addition of the window.

The Board know that if they get rid of Frank, Cochrane is most likely to go with him leaving us with nobody to appoint as interim.

He was managing Ajax at the start of the season and so highly doubt he'd now be content with the role he's been given, might even be a nice incentive for Slot to join if the scousers do go with Alonso in the summer.
Exactly

He’s a well known coach with recent history of winning the Prem.

Hes not come to just be a defensive coach

I've seen some saying that this Heitinga appointment means Frank is being backed. I don't think that's true at all

I have no doubt Frank had input, it may have even been his decision on who to hire, but that doesn't mean that Frank is more likely to stay as manager because of this appointment.

In fact, this now gives the club an interim option if Frank and his coaching staff get sacked. Heitinga quite clearly is not part of Frank's backroom team, so he will stay on and take the reigns if Frank leaves.

So I don't think we can read into it too much in terms of this means Frank is off imminently, but I also don't think it means he is more likely to stay. The club and Frank both needed this position filled, but it does give the club a contingency which we didn't have after Wells left the club.

I really would not be surprised if Frank is gone before the summer and Heitinga takes over for a run of games

Apparently he's got a very good relationship with Kudus both being at Ajax and West Ham.
I hope that he has been brought in in part to act as a "translator" between Frank and the players. For lack of a better word.

Frank may be a tactician but his career as a player is non existent. And football players tend to respect and listen more to managers who are former players rather than guys who came in through other ways. "Armchair managers" often need to get success quickly to be able to back themselves up against the sort of egos and characters that exists in dressing rooms. Jose is a prime example of this. Otherwise you tend to get swallowed up like Nagelsmann at Bayern (and he has still carved out a good career for himself in management).

Frank had the luxury of starting at Brentford as an assistant for like 2 years before getting the main job. So the player base already knew him and were comfortable with him. He does not have that luxury here and is under a lot more pressure. So getting Heitinga in the staff gives him someone that can speak to the players as a former player. Who's had a lot of the same experiences and knows how players minds work.

I'm not sure that I've seen any tactics that have impressed me, but what you seem to be saying is that Frank doesn't have the respect of the players, so Heitinga has been brought in to be a go between.

If that's true then it's like the club are admitting employing Frank was a mistake, and they're trying to avoid wasting their money by sacking him, so they bring in a guy who's an ex-pro who the players do respect but IMO that completely undermines Frank, and makes it seem like he's the assistant.

Gallagher on talks with Frank

“We had a great chat. The culture he’s trying to build at the club, I fit that culture perfectly. He was explaining how great the squad is and how great the players are, how we can obviously improve, but that we aren’t far away, we have great players, and need to just keep working together as a squad, and he felt like I was a great fit to help with that.”

Aren't far away?!
Ange is talking about fine margins, the odd goal here or there making draw into wins and being higher up the table.

The man is deluded.

Cochrane looking like he’s mostly hype. If he is coaching our attackers, it’s not going well.

Between Franks BS system of never playing through the middle, and Cochrane’s inability to get any kind of chemistry and understanding between our attacking players, I’m not sure I remember a group looking as clueless and aimless offensively.
Crap actors + poor director = shit film.
