Yes because Semenyo literally had a host of better options than us.
Look West Ham picked up Kudus and Paquetá when they were on their knees. Same with Newcastle landing Bruno.
Forest with Murillo and Milenković. Palace with Muñoz and Lacroix. Even Wolves ffs, Cunha.
People massively overcomplicate this. It’s really not that deep. There’s a huge pool of quality players who want to play Premier League football — you just need competent recruitment which seemingly we don't have which is kinda my point.
Players will come to the Prem regardless because money talks and we so happen to be one of the richest clubs in the world who can pay so the scales should be tipped way in our favour.
So, are you happy with the recruitment since the summer? Kudus, Simons, Muani, Tel, Gallagher and Souza?
We tried to get MGW but Marinakis intervened.....we went ballistic deep for Eze but the gooner turned us down. Like I said Semenyo rejected us and rightly so......I think the club are prepared to go for quality players but it seems it's becoming harder and harder to sign them

It’s a little club their in. Same as high ranking Local government and high paid management (private). Once your in, your in for life. But like the Mafia really.
I don’t think he has better characteristics than Sarr or Bergvall in the exact same position. Hes just more physically advanced and older.

ENIC selling was what most all expected (or thought) when saying Levy out, hence less frugality, as well you know.
Are you ENIC out? My concerns were always who enters the fray, so presently happy to watch this unfold, see if the £150m was hubris, who knows what the two Lewis airs truly envisage/want, it’s gonna play out though, in the next 12months, that much is certain.

I have no idea why Gallagher was signed full stop. Another opportunistic grab without actually thinking about how it will impact the team. He doesn't add anything we're missing, just exacerbating the midfield that can't control a game.
We're in this mess because of the mish mash of system players that don't fit together. Adding to that is brain dead behavior. The new manager doesn't want more sub standard crap to have to get rid of when we already have a huge back log. If there are actually quality players, like a Wharton, Elliott, absolutely sign them up, but not clubs rejects because they're a bit cheaper than they ought to be.
The Souza signing, no problem with. A couple of those a year, fine.
If you believe that Lange has the vision and foresight to buy players that can work for the long term into a system, fair play, I sure don't. We're highly, highly unlikely to get relegated, we need less than 10 points realistically, and when Frank is sacked, things will look a lot better.
But buying more bodies for the sake of it will have us riddled with an army of players we can't offload.
This short-terminism is why we're so fucking shit.

No problem with loans with no obligations. But adding more permanent players to this squad while we are in this mess is just insane.

As well as recruiting poor players, we’ve been terrible at keeping homegrown versus non-homegrown in balance and at selling players. An all ramp failure.
For a manager like Poch he has proven he can play in a system that can control a game
We could sign the most progressive passer out there but our manager doesn't want to play a possession based game where we have control in midfield and play through it.
Ideally we get Poch in the summer and then you will see Gallagher be more effective
