Just mind-boggling. Same week we loan then Yang they bring in Esse from Palace who's likely to get his minutes.

They were already publicly in talks with Esse before we recalled Yang, just a very strange move by us. Maybe trying to get him in a higher profile side with the plan to flip him rather than actually sending him somewhere to get the minutes he needs to develop.
Now even if it was for Mansfield he showed technique to do that with the ball. I keep saying why have spent so much on players like tel and Wilson when they are not , if at all, that much better than the players we already have! The money should have gone on buying proper proven players.
It's a bit weird - you'd think someone good enough to "expect to start" for the run away leaders of the Championship would be good enough to get minutes for an injury ravaged Spurs team?

Don’t know the exact number but promoted team teams probably get rid of half of the guys that achieved promotion for them. Didn’t Luton just about switch out the whole team?
There are plenty of players who are basically plus players in the championship, but not good enough for the Prem. Hopefully Yang will prove to be a Premier league player in future seasons.
There’s a similar phenomenon in baseball: guys that knock the tar off the ball in the minor leagues but cant hit big league pitching and pitchers who look lights out at AAA but can buy an out in the majors.
