Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'd take a striker that still scores when he mis-kicks over the plethora we've had over the last 3 decades that doesn't score when they are trying

The goal was a welcome return and will do him/his confidence loads of good, but he looked way way off the mark ... It'll take, at least half a dozen games b4 he gets match fit...and that's if he doesn't pick up any other injuries.. which is v common after lay offs.

And what does it tell you that "looking way off the mark Solanke" was absolutely cosmic upgrade on any of the option we have used so far this season ?

Also - clearly the goal was intended precisely as it turned out. I mean some people do moan about us not having many touches in opposition box. So instead of 1 touch finish big Dom had 4 ! :D

Did we maybe get a bit carried away after a decent performance the other night? That's the Dom I know and love.

It was decent in a way low bar way.

He has always been a player with nearly zero creativity. Works hard, can sometimes control the ball half decently .
Will finish 1 in 4 from close range.
Bottom 3rd PL player at best. Bournemouth have not missed him at all.

Bournemouth bought a better for 60% of the cost of this guy. All he does is run around. He's rarely where he needs to be, so crosses in the box get wasted because he's 6 years away. He's crap. He's a yo yo striker between the championship and lower half of the PL. And we spent £65m on him. Bear in mind we already had a pretty useless, £50m forward at the club. I was so angry by it at the time, and for the money, the worst signing I can remember. This was Kane's replacement. This.

He's so painfully average.

Kevin Phillips was a better PL striker. As was James Beattie.

Solanke is a slightly better Dwight Gayle.

Agree one of of out worse ever signings.
Not because we haven't had worse players - but because we knew exactly what we were getting
