I hated Ange, mainly because he had that lethal combination of prickishness and failure that tends to engender such feelings from football fans. I can't muster any emotions about Frank at all. If he were an arrogant bastard, if he took the piss out of fans, or if he was constantly blaming everyone else it would be different. All I feel toward Thomas Frank is apathy.

He literally called out fans who boo "as not Tottenham fans".

It's common for a manger to take his players' side when they are being booed. What would he do, take the fans' side? His job is to lead them and when things are bad that means there is an us versus the world mentality in the dressing room that he needs to be part of. It's how you lead men. I don't rate Frank as a manager but I do think any manager worth their salt would do the same.

I was mainly talking about doing things like cupping his ears to the support to mock them to their faces when we score a goal, then lying about it in the postgame chat. That sort of a thing.

He didn't have to say anything, or if he felt he had to, empathise with the fans frustrations. Telling supporters you're not fans of the club, is about as bad as you can get. Who is he to dictate what a fan should do, how they should feel? That was the turning point here from the blind optimism he got before.

He never stopped blaming the players for every outcome. Cannot think of a single occasion in 2 years of mostly dire football where he ever acknowledged he'd done anything imperfectly. It was always individual errors or bad luck. No one respects a leader who won't take responsibility.

Keith Andrews, doing a better job than Frank, without the best players Frank had at his disposal, has shown the Premier League how good Thomas Frank actually is.

Thomas Frank and Graham Potter are the ugly face of what has happened to Premier League football in recent seasons.

These people are getting opportunities, they probably don't deserve, because of the closed shop approach to managerial recruitment in the Premier League.

The belief in these people is based on luck rather than their judgement.
