I'll start with the positive - I said in the match thread that I thought the first 30 mins were our best starting 30 mins to a match for ages. I'd have loved to see how it would have gone if it wasn't for Romero.

However it doesn't change anything.

The guy is an embarrassment.

His standards are too low.

He needs to go now.

If he's still in charge for the NLD then I'm 100% sitting it out. First time ever in my time supporting Spurs that I refuse to watch a game.

Not wasting my energy on that shit

Honestly, I’m already there with football in general.

Didn’t watch today, don’t really give a fuck about whatever outrage/injustice/performance did or didn’t happen. Injury crisis? So what, happens every year. Inconsistent officiating across the league? Boring.

It’s just a bit shit and not worth the time. Is there really a team in the premier league that’s worth the time to watch them play?

It's a results game, at the end of the day.

We can talk about positive 30 mins, or some hope of building something, but you do that when you are getting scrappy wins and floating around the lower top half - not when you're losing every week. No different to last season in that regard.

I'd be interested to know what people think about the prospect of getting to a CL final and being in a situation where that might justify him another season in the board & media eyes, versus not taking that risk and just getting rid now and accepting a CL exit in return (in the 'if that was the choice' scenario - not that it is inevitable or anything)

He'll probably get another chance at the top level, like the one Potter got with West Ham, before slowly fading into managerial obscurity in a similar fashion.

Not sure he deserves it though.

Conceding at a rate, with a largely healthy defensive line to boot, very comparable to the rate at which the previous manager was conceding alone would put me off if I were in charge of a mid table/bottom half club.

Yeah this is the thing.

Today we can all blame Romero and Frank can blame him and the board can blame him...and isolated, these things happen in football. You will lose matches cos someone fucks up on the pitch.

The problem is we've been so shit for so long it is just adding to the pile. If we were having a good season you just chalk this up to one of those things but we aren't.

We can't afford matches like this anymore cos we've been so awful in so many others.

It's unforgivable and it shouldn't get him off the hook.

He's still got more points than Ange after match day 25... you can still cling to that for 3 more days, then I'm coming for you.

I think the gutless board have a sunk cost fallacy in place. The club will stand to lose probably £300m+ if we are relegated, and will do that to avoid a £20m payout.

Nah mate. We've just beaten United 1-0 to go to 30 points in Matchday 25 of 2024-25 season.

We are also going to win our next two games and end any hint of relegation. Then go on to prioritise and win the EL.

Hopefully Frank can do the same with the CL? 😍

They nearly scored in the first minute. They looked like scoring every time they attacked even before the red card.
He has to go.

2 wins in 16. How he can come out and say anything positive after another defeat is beyond me. Just home and despised everything about today. Add in West Ham winning means we are 100% in a relegation battle now. He should not be our manager tomorrow. He should never have been our manager. This guy is the opposite of what we should be going for in a manager. I said weeks ago he’ll be gone by the 23rd and I stand by that.
I reckon we'll sack him after Woolwich bum us into oblivion

We'll lose to Newcastle and they won't want to throw some lame interim in charge for their first game against Woolwich

Frank defending Romero sums up how weak he is , needed to draw a line in the sand by at least saying publicly that it just wasn't good enough and that he expects more from his captain and a senior member of the team .

But nah just mealy mouthed the issue .

I backed Frank into the job but I was completely wrong and it's time the board done accepted they have as well .

For this club to be in this position 2 season in a row is disgraceful !

I wish I had your belief, but I'm quite confident they're keeping this absolute loser till the summer .

Just got to hope one or all of palace, Forrest, Leeds and ham pick up less points from now till may

We lose the next 2 games at home which is likely.

The place will be rotten if Woolwich batter us.

Can see him getting sacked and Heitinga promoted as interim till end of season, then having a Martin Jol-esque effect on the team.
