Turned to shite under Frank as much as any of our midfielders, certainly lack of good coaching and a plan. But I would agree he's not that good as most may think, is very hard to understand what he offers appart from running.

Overall consensus is that he hasn't reached the heights they thought he would have by now. And that Spurs was the wrong club for him. One of them said to my bud that if Pape had signed for a Brighton or Fulham instead back then, he'd now be at a true European giant and be talked about as an 80-90mil player. Thought he really had the potential to turn into a Vieira, Essien, Mahamadou Diarra type.

Gotta say I feel sorry for the kid cause he defo has the raw talent, just joined a complete circus of a club and been mismanaged. Plus he's a sweet lad.

He needs strong coaching , doesn't really know his roll so tries everything .

There is a very good player there but like many in the team poor management and coaching have taken them backwards .

I just don't get how after 2-3 years right up until Saturday you were still thinking there was a talented kid there, but after tonight's game you've suddenly changed that opinion?

He was no worse tonight than he's ever been. He's always been fucking meh. Decent athlete, can do a bit this and a bit of that ok, excels at fuck all. Which is probably why "a club like Brighton" didn't buy him, because their recruitment is much smarter than ours.

First, sorry if I snapped last night, pal. I actually appreciate you and our interactions. Got the flu of the century, was emotionally drained cause of the game, and had the wee drink.

Shoulda said he played awful last nite and his attitude was terrible. I still (wanna) believe the kid has talent and when you listen to him in interviews, he does sound like a nice, clever boy.

But yeah, like you, I've raised concerns many times about him being all legs & lungs with very limited footy IQ.
 
He is a product of systemic failure. They are all like him, turn up with raw ability go to utter crap at Spurs. Seriously this isn't some weird Xfile. Its just three to five years of no coherent plan or strategy or coaching. Unless the entire football side is dumped from Vinai down to the academy Sarr will be Bergvall will be Melia will be LWB ....Jam tomorrow FC lol...only we can't make Jam.

He definitely does have talent.

He played well at the start of season, contributed a lot, then Frank randomly decided he doesn't really fancy him anymore. Same shit Frank is doing with Palhinha who plays well then randomly gets dropped for....Dragusin.
 
Sarr is a genuine Spurs Fan. He's doesn't miss watching every game. So much so, he sometimes forgets that he's playing in one.

People saying Frank messed his career up. I suppose Frank told him not to challenge Thiaw and to marvel at him when making it first to the rebound. And Frank also instructed him not to stay tight on Ramsey because it's spectacular to watch him take a shot.


Sarr is hopelessly overrated. Definitely one to get rid of along with Bentancur, Bissouma and Tel
