The more I think about it, the idea of Harry Redknapp as DOF makes SO much sense...

Let him bring in Spurs people under him, and work from there...

Plus he knows a good deal when hje sees one!
"I'm not a Faaackin' wheeler dealer, faack off!" :harryhmm:

The bar is very low. He just has to do something more than Frank or Postecoglou and average more than a point per match.
Completely gone in the head of you actually think Redknapp is one - a bigger legend than Ange at this club, and two, a better manager than him...

This is without factoring in age, recent experience, and health to actually fulfill the role.

He'd be absolutely eaten alive these days. Great man manager but his tactics were never his strongest point in his peak 15/20 years ago.

Let alone the extra hours they do on a training pitch now. The game has moved on since then.

It would have to be a collaborative approach though surely, Redknapp would work with someone like Heitinga on tactics and come to a consensus on the approach to move forwards with.

Redknapp would then communicate to the players along with Heitinga, Redknapp would oversee training but the brunt of the work would be done by the younger coaches. Harry would take on the press, despite his age he is an excellent communicator and is beloved by the British media and Spurs fans - he would also be happy to take on the interim role. Crazier things have happened.

Oh he twerkin'

Don't worry Tim, we have you sorted:

talking about he loves the club, he's been throwing piss at us every chance he's had. Now there's an opportunity for saviour style glory he's all big pimp.

Harry I could just about get on board with, this guy not a chance.

I'm surprised Jason Cundy and Darren Bent haven't been on to talksport saying they could take it for a few games

I like spiky cunts like him. I just wish we had backed Conte. He was a huffy cunt but he’d have brought us success if the club backed him. In saying that Poch would have got us there if the club really went for it after Madrid.
I know our fans get arsey about how Conte and Mourinho made it look like a favour coming to Spurs, but it was.
Sorry.
It was.
Conte especially, could have walked into almost any established club in the world and still can.
I also think the behaviour of acting like he can do better is very deliberate to try to get what he wants.
That was the time to go balls deep. Back him to the absolute hilt. Should had him in the room with the likes of Bastoni. Either he makes it happen, or he sees first hand that it was hard to do.
Instead we lump him with fucking Lenglet on loan, Spence who wasn't going to play, 87 year old Forster, Romero who he already had, and then blew the best part of £100m on Bissouma and Richarlison.
We did him dirty like we do everyone.
He should have been begged to drag us up to his level.

He's near on 80 years old, been retired for 10 years and last time he was in charge of a PL team got QPR relegated.

Would be an absolute disaster - albeit a nice thought.

The big problem is the complete lack of quality up front. Last time harry came in he was able to buy some players to get us out of the shit. He won't have that option. The club does need a boost and he would give us that but i worry about the mentality of these players week in week out.

my buddy is marseille and says de zerbi was too emotional but thinks he'd do well here. not so sure but i do think we need someone to motivate the squad with better tactics and more emotion. but could he deal with our idiot owners? i could see a royal meltdown after a couple weeks. think i'm leaning towards 'arry

Those of you who still doubt Poch is coming back in summer give this a listen, Sherwood says it like its a fact and he is well connected within the club.

Yeah, I think Heiteinga as interim then Poch in the summer seems very likely to me. There will be an outcry if we go for RDZ imo.

The board's relationship with the fans is in the gutter. Rehiring Poch would be an olive branch. I'm not sure it would be the best appointment, but man it would be fun for a few weeks. We all just want to feel excited by something.

Harry Redknapp did more for this club than Postecoglou will ever dream of laying claim to
Jol, Redknapp and Poch absolutely did more in the PL era than any other manager. Each one in turn raised levels, standards and expectations.
Noclue is right down there with Graham and Ramos. Who cares about a weak cup win playing awful football when it set us on course for this level of league form.
