Hope you are right. I just don't see a new guy being able to magic something up THAT quickly. Its still a poor quality squad with a huge injury list and very few players that are game changers. At least Carrick had something to work with.
And if they weren't putting a shift in because of personal reasons against the manager - then fuck them. They play in front of 60,000 fans (usually) and get paid handsomely to give a shit.

We can't get inside their heads but it did look like that last night.
Who cares now about philosophy or tactics. We need a fireball manager who pulls the remaining players out of their misery and steer us away from the bottom of the table.

Maresca in a vacuum wouldn’t be a bad shout but I’m just so fucking tired of this club scooping up our biggest rivals’ piles of shit.

Unless we're willing to buy him out of his US contract, we can't hire a full time option.
Most legitimate candidates will want to be full time.
It's because of this we need an interim and because of this people are talking about Harry, etc.
We have 12 games to move away from relegation. I honestly believe that we could hire any competent interim and be safe quickly.
These players are not shit players. They've just been coached ineffectively and demoralised. Anyone with a bit of something about them will be able to coach them to 4 wins in the next 12 games.
The whole club needs a lift and we need it quickly. I want someone in place before the players come back to training. They better not drag it out for it to become a farce.

Harry works with a team of vets because of his "let the lads go out and play" mantra. That would work as an interim with vets to be safe from relegation. I'm not sure it works with a very young squad who have just gone through two terrible coaching sprees.

Some one who can give the players enough of a lift to go and try to win games from the start is all we need. There's nothing to play for now but survival.
