If there’s any truth to those tweets, it backs up what several of us have said since Frank came in, that this group lacks professional integrity. I can’t remember the last time I saw a squad so devoid of professionalism and basic football intelligence at this level.

Frank likely lost the dressing room some time ago, and for that alone he should have been sacked long ago.

The same issue remains. This squad is uncoachable. You might get a brief new-manager bounce, but they’ll always revert to type. No matter who comes in, the cycle repeats. These players will get any manager sacked, 100%.
They had two season of doing what they wanted on the pitch.

Lack of accountability when losing games, as it was allowed to go on and on.

Way too comfortable and now loaded with a stinky attitude and bad habits.

They have been spoiled rotten and need to go to De Zerbi Boot Camp.

All this flood of reports with the players whining about everything does to me is prove that most of them aren't worth building any sort of team around.

Turns out a no dickheads policy is difficult when most of your players seem to be dickheads.
Think we should take these inside info things with a pinch of salt. All these players have been at other clubs. Theyre not going to be any different to any other squad of players really. You’ll get the odd player who maybe don’t have the greatest attitude just like any club. All that culture stuff has to be led by the manager and those above him.

I'd happily lose Romero and Vicario if the money was right. Need to see what Mickey and Paulinha can do under a decent coach. Paulinha in particular seems to be the only one with a decent attitude.

This is precisely why we're heading to the Championship.

It's not "if the money's right".

It's "who are we going to replace them with".

If the last four years hasn't shown you the direct consequences of selling our best players and not replacing them with similar "oven ready" quality - then I don't know what will.

Agreed, but it’s not what you’d expect from the ‘leadership’ team who you’re expecting to set an example and bring the others into line.

That’s the whole point of giving senior pros the positions of responsibility.

No but again it happens at the top level of football, football players serve themselves and are only happy when things are going their way - Frank knew this when he signed up, that's life of a football manager.

Totally agree. But they're not our best players by any stretch. They are both inconsistent and entitled. I'm sure we can find any number of replacements with those qualities.

Hilarious. One article from a journo close to Frank that conveniently blames the players for everything

Classic Frank though, never could accept responsibility in any of his press conferences

Spot on, and the root cause of this issue is not having leaders in the locker room. That's probably why Frank wanted guys like Gallagher and Robertson. Could you imagine our players acting like that if Maldini, Buffon, or Lampard was captain?

Ding ding ding. The locker room culture and standards were established for the past two years with this group. They were allowed to play like shit, lose at home all the time, finish 17th, etc., because the manager allowed it to happen. Zero accountability and no responsibility. Frank was unknowingly walking into a room with lazy, entitled, and complacent players, and he wasn't up to the task to whip them into shape.

Since the start of the 23/24 season (ie since Kane left) we have a 50% win rate with Romero in the team vs something like a 23% win rate when he isn't.

He might be shit but he's very very important "shit" so we'd want to be better at replacing g him than we have with either Kane or Son.
