Highest win percentage over one of the smallest sample sizes. He basically stuck faith with some academy kids like Kane and Benteleb because he was a Spurs academy coach and so knew the young players, dropped some of the senior players and played the kids. It was a fluke, where we had a young Kane coming through.
I believe Sherwood would relegate us in our current situation yes. Thankfully it will never happen. It's an insane suggestion. Sherwood, fucking hell.
Personally I don’t think it’ll make much difference whoever is in place but I do think Poch pretty much felt so let down by the board towards the end that his enthusiasm went
We’ve seen nothing in these players to suggest that there’s a new manager bounce in them. Over the course of the last 2 years they’ve been one of the worst teams in the league in terms of points. Plus we’re heavily depleted of any technical quality that can save us, and those players aren’t returning for this relegation battle.
I'm not an idiot, I realise there's no chance, but if I was the board I'd give Klopp a mega interim offer and just say keep us up, become a folk hero (whilst slightly tarnishing your Liverpool rep), and then go off into the sunset. He made it clear he didn't want another Premier League team, but perhaps one for a couple of months to rescue a punch drunk giant? Got to be slightly romantic, not to mention lucrative.

I would say that I'm not entirely sold on the idea of Poch, but if that is the direction that the board wants to go, he could surely handle a few months of double duty? I've never been an international coach/manager, so I have no idea what I'm talking about, but what can they possibly have to do at this stage? The team is largely set for the WC, and the games aren't overlapping. If the board is intent on bringing him in, just get the US to agree that he can do both for a few months, and he leaves the program after the WC.

Glenn Hoddle last managed a club in 2016, has a heart-condition and was sacked by Spurs in 2003.
Robbie Keane will not leave a safe job in Ferencváros to be an interim head-coach. As a full-time HC maybe, but he’s too inexperienced for that job IMO.
Roberto De Zerbi won’t take a job as an interim HC at Spurs because it’s below the dignity of HC’s at his, well, “level” (for the lack of a better word)
Jürgen Klinsmann last managed a club back in 2020 and lasted for 10 weeks at Hertha Berlin.
Mauricio Pochettino will notquit the USA national team just 5 months before the WC starts unless there is "something wrong" between him and his bosses; and, according some reports, it would cost $20m+ to buy him out of his contract.

As an interim I would give Chirpy a go, his attitude would give everyone a much needed lift after recent months, Knows the club, great bond with the fans and the younger players like gray and tel would listen and be in awe of him

Tbh I think the most likely choice they will make will be the wrong one. That means getting an temp manager until the end of the season. I dont see that being enough to keep us in the PL.
I understand people wanting to hold out for poch but I think by doing that we are greatly increasing the risk of relegation as I just dont see any supply teacher getting whats needed out of the players to stay up. Many will start only having eyes for their national teams and the world cup as season ends whilst other tes have their players running through brick walls to stay up.
