If the powers that be need to be 100 percent sure on a manager before backing them with players then we are fucked.

Well run clubs buy quality players that fit their ethos regardless.

Same as the window just gone. Now the squad is fucked for the next guy

This is it. This is why, despite Frank, AngeLoss, Nuno etc all being shite, the real cancer at THFC has always been the owners.

ALWAYS.

All of the issues flow down. They always have.

Above everything else, the possibility of having to manage in the Championship next season is putting permanent managers off I reckon.

Any with options would love to avoid that risk altogether, through insisting on a relegation exit clause or on starting fresh next season.

They left it too late to sack Frank.

The unknown factor is the Lewis family. It may be harder to make decisions with a group of relatives, as opposed to the Levy days when the football people only had to convince one person on a decision. I'm suspicious that the reason the transfer window was a dud could be that the relatives couldn't agree on spending money. That could be a problem again when it comes to picking a manager. Nobody can be certain, but I think Spurs are still in the mode of talking about being ambitious while guarding every pound. Is it too much to ask these people just to sell up and go away?

Its all hearsay and rumour and that, so we dont know the full truth

It seems the Lewis family wanted to take control
They installed Vinai, Charrington to run things
It sounds like the Lewis' spotted a while back Frank was a dud
It sounds like Vinai and Lange, for some unfathomable reason, insisted on persisting with Frank
Id believe sacking him was forced on Vinai
They allegedley poured money into the club, but our complete lack of movement appears to be based on a complete lack of planning (see Lange interview) so who knows what went on there

My suspicion is that the Lewis' wanted Levy out, wanted to sit in the box and oversee the club and get all the kudos etc

They dont have football nous, so wanted to install some people below them to actually run the club properly

And I think thats the bit they fucked up :franklol:

The Ange part is only about 10 minutes.

Thanks, chances are Ive read it all now anyway 👍

It's been 28 hours.
We took 28 years to replace Mourinho.

AND it was Nuno. Who was gone in 28 minutes.

Leadership has been lacking for years

Odd thing to say when Levy was such a renowned control freak

But culture comes from the top, and our current malaise is a direct result of that "culture" the last decade

Vinai and co could be putting that right, but instead they seem even worse

100% anyone would be looking for a relegation clause (and big survival bonus! :harrylol: ) So I dont think the possibility of managing in the championship is a problem

Possibly the prospect of having relegation on their CV will bother them, but even then Im not sure - Spurs are seen as such a joke club I dont know if it would reflect badly on a manager to take over now and take use down

I think its bigger then Levy though , it ENIC that were\ are the problem. Levy may have been the head of the snake so to speak, but as soon as that got cut off another one just grew back.........
Levy had control of every aspect of the club.

All ENIC did was provide money regardless of how little or how much they handed over.

The buck stops with Levy, no one else.

And yes, ENIC should have done more, but Levy fucking wasted almost everything we had...

Flip flopped between styles of managers, and brought in the vast amounts of shit we seen on the pitch now.

It's 100% on Levy.
