The unknown factor is the Lewis family. It may be harder to make decisions with a group of relatives, as opposed to the Levy days when the football people only had to convince one person on a decision. I'm suspicious that the reason the transfer window was a dud could be that the relatives couldn't agree on spending money. That could be a problem again when it comes to picking a manager. Nobody can be certain, but I think Spurs are still in the mode of talking about being ambitious while guarding every pound. Is it too much to ask these people just to sell up and go away?
Its all hearsay and rumour and that, so we dont know the full truth
It seems the Lewis family wanted to take control
They installed Vinai, Charrington to run things
It sounds like the Lewis' spotted a while back Frank was a dud
It sounds like Vinai and Lange, for some unfathomable reason, insisted on persisting with Frank
Id believe sacking him was forced on Vinai
They allegedley poured money into the club, but our complete lack of movement appears to be based on a complete lack of planning (see Lange interview) so who knows what went on there
My suspicion is that the Lewis' wanted Levy out, wanted to sit in the box and oversee the club and get all the kudos etc
They dont have football nous, so wanted to install some people below them to actually run the club properly
And I think thats the bit they fucked up
The Ange part is only about 10 minutes.
Thanks, chances are Ive read it all now anyway
