I disagree, don't think the manager is that important at all... Redknapp good coach (no), good talker (yep).
Maybe its a semantics thing, but I still think we are saying the same thing ultimately
For me, manager = responsible for the team
That might mean they lead training, it might mean they tell the coaches what they want the players to implement - details may vary
So they are the most important, its their thing, they run it - its what they make it
