Agree with that, Im no fan of "First 11 - backup 11" sort of thinking, modern football is a squad game and we need lots of quality througout

Football was better with the first 11 back up 11 model though.

Just about everyone plays 4-3-3 in modern football.

On 55- 60 minutes teams often replace at least two thirds of the midfield 3, with subs, so the running around can continue.

The 1 main striker, with two wingers, who score a few but not enough, has reduced the overall amount of out and out strikers.

It's the Americanisation of football.

Lots of stats, lots of data, lots of focus on coaches, lots of bullshit.

Less entertaining players, less tackles, less leaders.

More diving, more cheating, more set pieces.

Watched all Robbie Keane's Spurs goals today.

If the player he was; was joining Spurs today, he would be made to play on the wing.

Football is now shit because of this model.

Just simply in my opinion from here on in ( and possibly before)
Our injuries will be what does it for us, along with those crucial dropped points against
Manchester United, Bournemouth, and West Ham
Although last season there was a gap between the bottom three and us in the end
We had three crucial wins on the bounce against, Manchester United, Brentford and Ipswich
That made a big difference

We can barely field a starting XI without shifting players out of position or putting a few youngsters in.

Our rubbish box defending won't improve much overnight regardless of who takes over, meaning that we'll continue to concede at a concerning rate.

This removal of the shackles from the players ,through the sacking of Frank, that people are putting their faith in won't yield a significant improvement in our goals tally; as we were scoring at a decent rate under Frank also.

We'll hopefully stop conceding that obligatory goal from the edge of the box every (other) game; but that's about it.

Frank definitely deserved the sack; but we're still in (serious) trouble. Make no mistake about it.

Im not sure players becoming more robotic, less mercurial, and football being more data led has anything to do with a squad game

Teams are playing 60+ games a season, gone are the days where a first 11 is viable...

Five subs should go, it's worsening the problem it was intended to solve.

Its a huge pity we didn't make the decision at the very least a month ago would have given us a chance with a better run of fixtures at least they looked better than what is coming up .We really need other results to help us out more than we should have .

I agree with this fully. We need the total collapse of Nottingham Forest. But its the injuries Udogie Danso Odobert Kudus. We wasted the window. We can not beat teams with what we have and no Danso means no one to rally a fight for the odd point. Honestly im very very pessimistic last nights results just made eek out the misery

Put it this way , does anybody think we are not getting relegated, probably the quicker poll
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned, cause given the circumstances its definitely possible to go down.

I've looked into our remaining 12 fixtures and I can see a minimum of 12 potential points gained, which should see us survive. Make no mistake, with the injuries we have its not going to be easy but I do believe that if we hire the right man to come in and motivate, man manage and breathe confidence in these players in a "Redknapp" kinda way, we will survive. But again, it really does need to be the right man.

My concern is how incompetent this board are at making decisions.

To answer your question, no I don't believe we will go down.
