Ange won us our first and only trophy outside the league cup since 1990.

Frank took lowly Brentford up from the Championship to become comfortable PL regulars. He was widely regarded as a great coach before we got him. Never got any support in the Jan window and never once had his strongest available 11.

To make my position on Frank Crystal clear he probably had to go given how toxic it had become, but to then go and hire some geezer nobody has heard of?

Its just insane..

So in theory, we go into the Summer with a WARCHEST!

I would hope that between now and then we just do the Poch deal (we all know itll be him), and go so far as to agree the club structure to suit him.

Get rid of Lange. Get the right directors/recruitors/whatevers in

And for once just do a good fucking job

Problem is the new board don't know football so fuck knows who they're listening to or if they have any competent advisers. Doesn't seem like Vinai has much of a clue either...

It's the blind leading the blind atm.

Levy for all his many faults, was clearly at least pretty connected and would speak to "proper football" people like Pleat for advice. Do Vinai and the new board have those contacts or are they just trusting everything Lange tells them as gospel.

Yeah but who were we ever gonna get that was gonna be exciting given we want an interim.

Tudor's someone I'd never ever want as a permanent manager but he's highly experienced, seems to do well when he first arrives at clubs, is experienced as doing the interim thing, plays a system that suits our squad and is, most importantly, actually willing to come on a short term deal.

Beggars cant be choosers and I think if people had actually heard of him before they wouldn't be quite so dead against him. He's not exciting but he really isn't some complete nobody like some seem to think.

His CV is miles better than Carrick's tbh (although I admit I would still prefer Carrick).

Why are people going mad about this?

I know the Club aren't great at getting things right but this seems a sensible appointment.

No PL experience but a very experienced manager and has a presence about him that just looks like will command respect from the get go.

A good interim option imo, and if he does well he's another option in the summer with Poch.
