Never heard of him, but I never watch Italian football
Would've gone for Rose, think he could've got alot out of a Simons, solanke, Tel triangle.

But from what Ive seen on various websites he plays a aggressive press direct attacking football.
However he always plays a back 3 , we don't have 3 CBS so not sure if that means palhinha dropping in-between drag and VDV

He'll work them like fuck no doubt trying to get a permanent deal
Google him then! :roseunsure:

Sometimes the gag writes itself!

Style of Play

Igor Tudor is known for an aggressive high energy style of play, typically employing a 3421 or 343 formation with intense pressing and direct vertical attacking.

His teams emphasise winning the ball high up the pitch, utilizing wing-backs for width and attacking overloads, and, if the high press is bypassed, transitioning into a compact, organised defensive structure.

Sounds like the way Poch liked his teams. Perhaps they think he's a good precursor to Poch to set the players on the path

Tudor’s philosophy is defined by intensity and attacking courage. His own words capture it well — he wants football that is aggressive and entertaining, not solely built on defence. In practice this translates to:

Preferred formation: 3-4-2-1 (or variations with a back three). Both wing-backs have crucial roles in defence, attack, and pressing. His inside forwards cut inside to create space for the wing-backs, creating confusion for opposition defenders.

Tudor is essentially a high-intensity firefighter manager — clubs bring him in during difficult moments, and he tends to stabilize things rapidly with his aggressive, front-foot style.

His achievements are more in terms of overachieving, avoiding relegation, and strong league finishes rather than major trophies.

His ~46% win rate is solid given that he’s often inherited struggling squads mid-season. The challenge has always been sustaining results over a longer period, which makes his interim role at Tottenham a natural fit for his profile.

And I didn't do that. I actually looked at his CV.

I noted that he got sacked for Juve in Oct for no wins in 8 games.
He has no PL experience
He only got 11 games at Lazio
Before that he managed a bunch of second tier clubs.

The board had one job to do, Just one. bring in somebody who could bring some feel good factor and unite the fanbase.
A Harry Redknapp would have done it.
It's not going to be footballing ability that keeps us up, with the injuries we have we are pretty much fucked. And its too late to rip it all up and coach a different approach, he doesn't have enough games or the personel for that.

At absolute best case if I was feeling generous I would say this is a mad gamble.

I'm now convinced we are getting relegated.
There was no standout candidate as interim.

Harry would have been fun but when he was mentioned people were pointing out he's not coached in 10 years, is 79, etc.

The risk for me isn't appointing Igor. I can see why they did it based on what he did previously as an interim. I'm ignoring his permanent record as it's irrelevant.

The risk for me is whether we're right to go the interim route. Would we have been better appointing a candidate for the long run? Give him and the players the knowledge that someone has come in to stay.

This could go tits up. It could go all wrong. But everyone should just go with it until our fate is confirmed either way. We all need to unite, starting with battering the filth next week!

Claude actually. And Claude is now a Yid…

Claude: Ha! Given everything we’ve just gone through, I’d say cautious optimism is fair. Tudor walking in the door with a north London derby as basically his first match is either a baptism of fire or the perfect stage for the kind of immediate galvanizing effect he’s known for. A result against Woolwich — even a scrappy draw — could shift the entire mood at the club overnight.
And look, Spurs fans have been through worse… well, actually, flirting with relegation two seasons running is pretty unprecedented for a club of this size. But the talent is there, the new manager has a proven record of short-term turnarounds, and the maths strongly favours survival.
So yes — cautiously — Come On You Spurs. 🤞

The fans won't unite behind this bloke.

Looking online everybody is baffled with this appointment, If we get rinsed next weekend its going to be as toxic as it was under Frank.

We are bang in trouble.
