People thinking we would get a perfect option as interim were kidding themselves.
He has 2 successful interim spells behind him & experience across 4 leagues.
All we likely need is 3 wins and his history suggests he will get that.

Calm down,.go out and touch some grass, it's a reasonable appointment

Perfect….

“Man-management: He has a reputation for getting the best out of players quickly, which is why clubs in crisis situations turn to him. However, he has a pattern of short tenures — he tends to make an immediate impact but often clashes with boards or departs after relatively brief spells. His longest spell at any club in the last decade was his 48-game stint with Marseille.”

He’s gonna be gone before Rose has the chance to google him

One thing I've realized over the years is that most supporters of Prem clubs don't watch anything outside of England and have no knowledge of players and managers in other leagues.
Do you need to know him and his tactics inside out? A quick look at his career history and he just moves around every few months which is not a concern for an interim but no one looks to have wanted him around more than a season. His win record is patchy at best, he's not going to command respect from a surly bunch of players, he has no connection with the club so other than a bit of pride probably couldnt give a shit if we stay up or not. I hope i'm wrong and he does enough but got a feeling he might not see out the season. Just feels very Stellini- esque albeit he's a manager not a coach.

I think you'll find thats the case with most fans in most countries, they focus on their own league.

its called human nature.

Of course you get the odd hipster with 1000 hours in Football manager 2025 who can name every young prospect in Europes take on stats.

Not the norm
And that's fair enough.

But if you don't know about someone, it doesn't make them shit.

He may turn out to be shit but we don't know it yet so I'm not sure what all the melting is about.

He's here for 12 league games. Has European experience. Seems to be successful as an interim.

We've all just gotta get behind him and hope it works out.

Interestingly he was Marseille manager when we won 2-1 there with conte

They were all over us that day and truthfully should have won

Tell me you can't see it...?

I don't see it

...now tell me, who is who?

And I didn't do that. I actually looked at his CV.

I noted that he got sacked for Juve in Oct for no wins in 8 games.
He has no PL experience
He only got 11 games at Lazio
Before that he managed a bunch of second tier clubs.

The board had one job to do, Just one. bring in somebody who could bring some feel good factor and unite the fanbase.
A Harry Redknapp would have done it.
It's not going to be footballing ability that keeps us up, with the injuries we have we are pretty much fucked. And its too late to rip it all up and coach a different approach, he doesn't have enough games or the personel for that.

At absolute best case if I was feeling generous I would say this is a mad gamble.

I'm now convinced we are getting relegated.

Ange won us our first and only trophy outside the league cup since 1990.
And Ange was a nobody when we hired him.

Trophy aside he was also an utter disaster.

Frank took lowly Brentford up from the Championship to become comfortable PL regulars. He was widely regarded as a great coach before we got him. Never got any support in the Jan window and never once had his strongest available 11.
Having seen how Brentford have been run before and after Frank, Im now firmly of the opinion he probably had a lot less to do with that achievement than we all thought in the summer.

To make my position on Frank Crystal clear he probably had to go given how toxic it had become,
Definitely. He definitely had to go, long before he actually did. And not for toxicity but for being nowhere near good enough.

but to then go and hire some geezer nobody has heard of?

Its just insane..

I dont know much, if anything, about Tudor.

Honestly at this point Im kind of past caring. He has done decent short term jobs at high level (/high pressure) clubs and so I can see some sense in it

But fucking hell, what a shambles we are right now

Season basically written off for incompetence and nothing else

His player style is intense and physically demanding style built around a back three system, usually a 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2. His sides rely heavily on wing-backs for width and attacking play.

A key feature of Tudor’s approach is aggressive man to man pressing. Players mark opponents tightly across the pitch, aiming to disrupt build-up and force turnovers. This creates frequent duels and requires high physical and tactical discipline. In possession, Tudor prioritises directness over control.

His teams move the ball forward quickly after regaining it, often attacking within a few passes. The back three spread wide in build-up while midfielders support vertical progression. In the final third, inside forwards operate in half-spaces behind a central striker, who may act as a target man or pressing forward.

Defensively, Tudor uses a high line to compress space, making matches compact and intense. However, this can leave space behind the defence, particularly against quick or well-structured positional sides. His tactical profile is often compared to Gian Piero Gasperini and Antonio Conte, although Tudor’s football is typically more direct and chaotic.

I see this as a high risk appointment because there is no time to adjust and he has no prem experience. Not the choice i would have gone for.i obviously hope he does very well though and we get behind him.
