Sels or Trafford for me.

Trafford would help HG.
Isn't Sels shit with his feet? After Vic that's the last thing we need.

Trafford absolutely bottled it playing for City this season, which is always worrying to see in a keeper. He was so bad that Pep clearly just demanded they drop another 25m and a shitload of wages on Donnarumma as an emergency buy. Last thing we want is an Onana situation where the keeper's lost their nerve on the big stage and becomes a liability.

That said, Trafford is clearly talented and still young. And obviously less pressure at Spurs compared to City. Certainly wouldn't be against it for the right price as I'm losing my patience with Vic.

Trafford wasn't really that bad for City when he played, yeah he made the mistake against us but Pep saw that he isn't at the level yet starting week in week out for City hence why they got Donnarouma, just a completely different presence in goal.

I thought his performance against us was absolutely shocking. Obviously fucked it for our 2nd goal but should've also got sent off for kicking Kudus outside of the area and had like 3 or 4 other moments that were very very shaky. I've rarely seen a keeper completely lose his head like that at the top level - just looked like the pressure was eating him alive.

I think that game single-handedly led to Pep signing Donnarumma tbh. Why else do you sign two first choice GKs for big money in the same summer otherwise? Even Trafford himself heavily implied he was initially told he'd be number 1 when he was interviewed after the cup game the other day.

Don't wanna write off talented young keepers and could still potentially be a good signing, but it's a position where mentality is so, so important so that would be an area of concern if we're going for him. Seen plenty of keepers have a crisis of confidence and never really recover.

If we're serious about challenging (yeah, I know), then we need an established 'error free' GK who commands his box and is good with his feet, and gives the defence confidence. I am afraid that is not Trafford right now, we may as well promote Kinsky and save some money. I'd personally go for Verbruggen from Brighton.

On what basis would we promote Kinsky?

I think a lot of politics play into it as well, vlub trained player and homegrown helps with the quota and they can re-sell hik for a higher fee.

It’s a shocking reality to come to terms with , but we could actually be buying championship players this summer ready for next season

I want us to bid for Mamardashvilli from Liverpool. He is getting wasted there as no2. We scouted him in past but didnt move. At 25, he is ready for to be PL starter (assuming we stay up)

If these owners were serious they'd of looked at the shape this squad is in and made moves in Jan. Expect much of the same usual shit if they're still here.
