Is Vlahovic actually any good? I haven't seen enough of him but he always seems to be this "dream signing" for fans on social media. For all the hype around him, do we even know if he'll score more goals than Richarlison?

I'm always weary of these players who do be hyped up for years while playing in other leagues but have very little to show for themselves. Anytime I've watching him play for Serbia, Mitrovic has always looked a far more dangerous forward. The same Serbia who couldn't qualify for the world cup.

I think its nearly got to the stage where people haven't seen Vlahovic play in ages but because he has a big name, people want him. Very high likelihood he's just very overrated and could be the next Kolo Muani if we get him in on a free.
You want a proper Serie A forward?

Only 28 but couple injuries last year a slight concern.

Quality player. Proper team guy. Better than 10 Richarlison & Solanke combo acts.

I was very keen on it when he was leaving Fiorentina. He's not that old, it just seems like he has been around forever, but his stock has progressively fallen ever since. He is a "classical" centre forward and if that is what we are looking for there are certainly worse options.

I do wonder if Roberto is thinking of 3 atb :

LB- Van de Ven...............................................................RB Porro or Spence
..........................CB Senesi, CB Vuskovic, CB Van Heck
Back up CB's ...................Danso and Phillips

This way :
- Vuskovic can be taught how to be a CB in PL with a expert on either side.
- Van de Ven can be LB as he is for Netherlands
- Senesi and Van Heck can help midfield with their progressive passing
- Phillips also gets PL experience

Assume Romero and Dragusin sold, possibly Udogie too
3 atb and it has to be Porro at rb, I guess?

I just love the fact that so far although its early days we have been getting linked with players that all have a few things in common.....

They all love having the ball and are highly geared up to play a passing game. Di zerbi loves his teams to love the football, not be afraid of having it, keepimg it and to dominate the ball.

RDZ is a very visionary coach and its very exciting to see what he can create providing the club gives him the required backing. I do wonder if he can see ahead in regards to where the game is going next with regards to playing styles. This is something that pep has always led the way on in the past. Whether its crazy pressing, fullbacks moving into cm, plating 4 cb's in defense etc

Long way to go but its exciting to have such a cutting edge coach who always manages to create such great footballing teams. Albeit hes never really had a chance to manage one thats near the top of the pecking order (marseille arguably are in France).

I really like you now you don't do the Milesy joke every post.

Exactly in a league Xavi tore through. This is the thing the Vuskovic shippers won't acknowledge Naby Keita, Xavi Simmons, serge Gnabry Leroy Sane, all made out like bandits..the EPL was significantly steeper. It will be for Vuskovic and Nusa.
Where do you want them to come through then. What is the point of sending players on loan then. Ffs we send players loan as everyone says they need to develop. This kid has done great so why shouldn’t he be given a chance. We gave gray berg tel oddjob first team places having proven nothing.

You just can not make general assumptions. The Bundesliga is decent, van de Ven wasnt as good as 19 year old Vuskovic and did alright for us. How about Sonny?

For me Vuskovic sticks out with his mentality, consistent improvement, his leadership qualities... he even took their penalties at some point.

A blind guy should see the immense talent and we are now in a transition mode were we can allow this prospect to grow and shine. He will make mistakes. So what? So did Romero, Porro and every other established player.

I would agree it could be too much to ask for Vuskovic to be in a team fighting for the title in England. We are so far away of that.
And why invest 40-60 m in an alternative player when we basically need every penny to improve the front line.

No transfer will ever give you guarantuees. But Luka will come good...and hopefully with us soon.
