The rumours that I have read is that the player's mother (also agent) is demanding that Brentford also buy his older brother who plays for Cologne's reserves.
Another Rabiot , mummy as agent...... Mummy's making sure her shit spawn rides hard on brothers hoodie tails ..

Exactly in a league Xavi tore through. This is the thing the Vuskovic shippers won't acknowledge Naby Keita, Xavi Simmons, serge Gnabry Leroy Sane, all made out like bandits..the EPL was significantly steeper. It will be for Vuskovic and Nusa.
Agreed.

And I know Savinho only made 1 goal and 2 assists in 24 matches this season, but you really have to consider his game time. He only started 7 matches and totalled 821 minutes (that's 9.12 matches). Nusa started 24 out of 31 Bundesliga matches, totalling 2,040 minutes (22.66 matches).

Also, Nusa hasn't really improved from the 24/25 season where he got 3 goals and 4 assists. So, 1 extra goal in 25/26 - and that's in a season where he got around 484 playing minutes (5.38 matches) more than in 24/25.
(Nusa 24/25 stats: 25 Bundesliga matches, starting 16 - 1,556 minutes or 17.28 matches).

25/26 has been bad for Savinho, but can be excused with his lack of game time - and he still has his 24/25 season to show for himself. Nusa, on the other hand, has had many minutes this season to improve himself from 24/25. However, he hasn't. And if he isn't improving in the Bundesliga, then how do you expect me to believe he can take the step up to the Premier League?

My point? Savinho is PL proven. Nusa is not. And that's why I prefer the former.

What's he proven in the Prem? :D

I will concede that from nowhere, Rice has taken on a cringey kind of feel.

You take Guumares wherever you like but on the pitch I would take Rice at this stage all day long.

I also think most Spurs fans, at lesst those not scared by horror movies would also take Rice, over Guimares, good though the Brazilian is.

We might get to see them against each other in the world cup..

I rate Rice highly but Bruno is a better player. He is absolutely top class.

What utter shite!
A pint was £2 in 1996. A pint is what £5 now so it’s 2.5 times. Shearers 15 million is 38 million now
Its based on football transfer fee inflation but it is an inherently flawed measurement because it says it calculates it based on the revenue growth of the PL, there are such a myriad factors that would need to be included to get an even somewhat accurate measurement, i really don't think what Newcastle paid for Shearer in 96 was Neymar levels of insane at the time though tbh, the previous record was £13m set 3 years earlier in 1993 by Milan, they broke it by £2m, then it spiralled well into the high 30s in the space of a few years, Newcastle really just spent big at the start of the global football finance boom, I think the £223m figure is bollocks tbh. Seems convenient its a shade higher than what PSG paid for Neymar.

While I appreciate some of the early movements for defenders, and I understand the pursuit of Robertson, Senesi and Van Hecke, I do hope we quickly turn our attention to attacking players because that’s the area that needs huge improvement

Agree. Whilst this is a good sign, and the activity is refreshing, I can't get too excited until we sign some top class attacking players.

Our attack as it stands is woeful. Solanke, Richarlison, Odobert, Kudus, Simons, it's pretty wank. Nowhere near enough goals in our attack.

We really need to sign some genuine elite talent in attack.

I really think the club need to make a statement signing this summer, either in CM, number 10, striker or at WF. By statement I mean dropping 80 - 100 million on someone like Bruno, or a MGW. A proper talent who instantly elevates our side. We simply do not have a difference maker, and we need one. Until we do, our ceiling isn't going to be very high.

If we do that, it will be a signal of the clubs ambition. The links so far are really good, but it's nowhere near enough to threaten the top sides in this league.
