Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I never watched much of Forest in the past but I wonder how they played him that made him effective?
don't bother with possession, just hit teams on the break.

He'd do well with Wales if they got to the WC finals and started playing top teams in the later stages.

Fantastic pace and deadly one on one.

His best chances with us came from passes across 6 yard box from Werner who was even quicker, and BJ was the only one quick enough to get on the end of them. But then wonderful man manager Ange threw him under the bus.

Glasner brought him on when they were chasing the game at 2-3 v Burnley and no surprise he did nothing.

Simply put one of the worst footballers to ever obtain a £50m fee. Ange was an absolute miracle worker to somehow pull 20 goals out of this absolute mug.

His career is effectively over at the top level.

Yeah we never should've signed him in the first place. It was poor scouting and reeked of us trying to shoe-horn in a homegrown player with 'potential' while capitalising on Forest's issues with PSR. Classic Levy opportunistic signing that ignores the needs of the squad (e.g. Sissoko, Richarlison, Solomon, etc). Guess Ange got about as much out of him as was feasibly possible so fair play, but I can scarcely think of a Spurs winger I've seen that was so horrible at the fundamentals.

I thought maybe he'd work at Palace as they're not really a possession team, but seems like their style doesn't really suit him. I guess he's only really effective at a proper bus-parking side like Forest under Cooper? Or a team like us under Ange where the attack was built around cutbacks.

I said this many times and got slaughtered for it. No player has ever put me on a downer as much as this guy when I seen he was starting. The crazy thing about this is he is responsible for the best night of my life supporting Tottenham
He’s as far away from anything I want to see from a Tottenham player. We were robbed and we robbed Palace even more because he’s offering even less with them than he did with us.

Slaughtered on here? Wheesht min. Pretty sure there was only me and maybe one other poster on here that thought he was of any value to us. You were probably drowning in likes if you slagged off Johnson on here.

Embarrassing that he has been gone for near on 2 months and we are still putting the boot in... can we not just leave him alone and remember him for the one goal that mattered... I don't care he shinned it and I don't care that it was against a "piss poor" United in the Europa... move on everyone and let him be.

Maybe he was Dele's brother this whole time

He does look like Dele, with an upside down smiley mouth. No idea what that's about

I don't care what anyone says.

I would prefer Johnsom here, as opposed to having no cover for his goals.

He should never have moved, because for us and played in a certain way he was effective. Simple.

He is in serious danger of drifting into obscurity.

I just pray he doesn't come back to haunt us. He will be praying our old manager isn't top of Palace's manager list!!
