On Johnson and statistics, I think they can be used in any which way one chooses and often need the benefit of wider context.
Johnson joined a team in some kind of decline, who were just about to lose their captain and then with a manager who then said he was about to depart, and a lead striker who wanted away.
Palace aren't free scoring and Johnson is not a creator per se, so on both fronts, Palace's and Johnson's you have to question the logic in the purchase/move.
I would be happy if he scored against us as long as we win the game.

Nah he would have just gone into hiding. Getting him out the club was the right move. Not replacing him was the problem.
He got zero goals for Palace. 35m. Stunning deal for us.
He couldn't have done worse than RKM on the right tbf, but yeah he was absolute gash this season and playing in this team for another 6 months would've probably shaved 10m off his value. Doesn't remotely surprise me that he's flopped at Palace - he's a player that basically needs a system built around him like Ange did in order to get the best out of him, and he's nowhere near talented enough to justify that.
Selling him was absolutely the right move - the problem was not replacing him after the Kudus injury.
