Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Not available to start is not the same as “missing” is it. Words have meanings.

Also, his loss.

Utterly inexplicable that you're defending this. Declaring that you're not fit enough to start a NLD, when we're in a relegation dogfight, simply because you've got a tickly throat is sackable. Would Dave Mackay have done that? Of course not. You can't score with your fucking throat anyway.

Personally, I'd be fine with Solanke never playing another game for us ever again. He can sit it out and train with the under 9's, plenty of time to nurse his dodgy throat and watch his shit Anime movies.

He clearly isn't up for the fight, and for that reason alone he needs to be sold ASAP.

You have absolutely no way of knowing how sick he was.

Personally, I think it is low character to form such a strong opinion based off the little we know.

Mate, he had a sore throat. He's a malingering cunt.

In fairness I doubt it was just a sore throat. Guy was probably ill to go with it, sore throat is just a symptom.

I’m sure you’ve had absolutely stinking colds where you’re insanely low energy and no good to anyone. 90 minutes of a north London derby in that state probably was considered to do nobody any good.

It's confirmed he was on antibiotics so you are correct.

Fair play to him for getting on the pitch at all.

Was on antibiotics a couple of years back with flu like symptoms and the worst sore throat of my life. Was like swallowing glass.

Can’t imagine getting out of bed to go the shops let alone playing a NLD. He was probably in a better state but still, your body is actively fighting off an infection .. it’s exhausting and painful.

If you are smart, you don’t start a guy with Flu in the most physical fixture of the season

I doubt it was Solanke that made himself unavailable to start. Tudor just made the right call.

Sorry but that's rubbish. If he was really, properly sick he'd be at home in bed not risking spreading his terribly infectious and undoubtedly near-fatal disease throughout our already depleted squad.

He didn't do that. He just couldn't be fucked to turn up. Why people are excusing this is an absolute mystery to me.

What next? VDV missing out on an all important relegation 6 pointer with a runny nose?

Hello earth calling saggytits it's been confirmed he was on antibiotics.

He was issued antibiotics so more likely strep throat (which is nasty) than a regular run of the mill sore throat.
Is it contagious....? In which case, couldn't he just have spent the entire 2nd half breathing on the Gooners?

I do think he is one of our all time worst buys. Not because he is the worst player
He clearly isn't - but because he absolutely symbolises everything wrong with our transfer policy.
A player in a crucial position we paid a lot for - who is a
so obviously mediocre.
A Championship or at best bottom 3rd PL player.
We could have bought Danny Welbeck for £5m.- and he is much better.
Solanke, Gallagher, Paulinha, Gray, bring back Mikey Moore, Alfie Devine & the other kids out on loan gaining valuable lower League experience....
🤔
...anyone else think we're actually putting together quite a handy Championship squad....
Planning for next season perhaps??

Antibiotics?? Oh Noes!!! We're lucky he recovered at all from such a terrible affliction. I've heard that a scratchy throat is often near fatal, and is almost certainly a career ender...

So many excuses for utter weakness. The blind acceptance of such shit standards is why we're in such trouble.
What in the pat butcher deflated saggytits are you going on about?

Have you ever been on a course of antibiotics? It knocks you for six especially if you're at the early stages of the infections. This isn't your normal every day cold we're talking about here.
