Half a season isn’t enough to judge Andrews. Frank had six years with Brentford on the lowest budget, earning promotion and stabilising Brentford in the Premier League side while regularly losing his best players - just look at the Toney example, a far more prolific player than the ones mentioned.

We go through the same blame cycle with every sacking. He wasn’t right for us, but I don’t believe he’s a bad manager.

You've cut a hell of a lot out of that (admitedly very long) post that covers a lot of what you're arguing against

6 months is all we have so far, and so far Andrews is succeeding Frank far better than anyone expected

And i dont think everyone we sack is a bad manager, there are many reasons for things not working out

But at this stage I'm more convinced Frank is a bad manager than good, as I've said we'll know more for sure at his next appointment

The amount of people falling for the obvious fake quote doing the rounds makes me almost hope the AI just fucking get on with our annihilation asap... :ange-bored:

Now, he obviously deserved to go.

But I think today shows why he was far from the main problem with the team and why it was ludicrous to expect improvement with any manager. The technical quality in this midfield is absolutely abysmal. No one wants the ball and no one can turn or pass with it. Gallagher was a shocking signing.

We have zero wing play. We have donkeys for forwards. We have a cunt keeper and idiots for CBs.

Frank was not the right fit here but he is not some uniquely awful manager. We are the problem.

They don’t want the ball because Frank coached it out of them,

Biss hasn’t played under Frank and looks our most confident DM based on today

Harsh but he just never earned the respect of anyone in the building by the sounds.

Also spent too much time bigging up our opponents

I think this stuff always gets blown out of proportion when a manager gets fired. Half of it is just players trying to pass blame on a coach for stuff that they should be blamed for themselves.

I never wanted Frank. I’ve never rated him. Didn’t see anything innovative about him or Brentford, and his coaching is at least half to blame for the debacle we find ourselves in but half of it is just having a totally fucking poorly built squad that’s not fit for purpose.

I said this last year with Ange, despite his flaws this team just wasn’t fit for purpose and despite Frank’s flaws, it’s still not fit for purpose.

At least with Ange you could see some method in the madness, with Frank, it was just cold fucking porridge.

Agree

Tbh I think Frank was given more senior players to work with as well and Son leaving was easier to handle than Kane leaving
