The only real benefit I can think of for us is we have out best players coming back, proper game changers.

Kudus, Bergvall, Udogie, Romero.. Maybe even Maddison and Kulu. Just got to hope they make an instant impact.

You know, Anges football also got called "football socialism".

We could also talk about Malofejew or Dinamo Tiflis in the 80s.

Politics has nothing to do with the football played. Not everything in the world is about your fight against "communism".

You’ve taken offense to this mate. Tbh I wasn’t the originator of Gulag ball, I was more following the trend.

I’m trying to save the offensive comments for the politics threads. I’m a new man in the football threads, make love not war.

Not that much bigger…
Exactly.
But nearly double the revenue of West Ham. And more than double the revenue of Everton.

You're bored of Premier league football because we're shit at it.

Coping mechanisms are kicking in all over the forum.
Agree we are shit and if we were say 3rd then maybe we might feel a bit different but it is boring. VAR is just the fucking pits as is the atmoshere at pretty much every ground. Its now also gone back to the worst of the 80s, all set pieces and big units. 22 athletes running into each other and closing space for 90 minutes. There are no Hoddles or Ginolas anymore and not just for us, its almost worldwide. There is bugger all to like about top level football at present.

The game has rather gone sadly.

We should jist spending 100s of millions on players to appease some people though. Then it would be something else.

Dragusin seems to have become even shitter so I hope it's not a sign of things to come lol

Was always gonna be the case that he was gonna be even worse after 9 months out. Just one half against Leyton Orient before he's been chucked straight into the starting lineup

Hopefully he improves a bit come Fulham.

Really is a crazy situation. Never even considered the idea of relegation in December. Just figured if it ever wat a realistic prospect the club would just brute force their way out paying over the odds for a series of big January signings

Looking at our fixtures the only thing giving me any drop of hope is that by the time we play Sunderland, Brighton, Wolves, Leeds, Everton and maybe even Villa their seasons could be over and they could have one foot on the beach, firmly cemented in midtable with Villa possibly having secured UCL and be in the Europa League semis.
That’s also relying on the pride and professionalism of our squad to roll up their sleeves and put in a shift for the club, something that’s been glaringly absent on many occasions to date.
