You have to compare the sliding doors moment of the Uefa cup finalists in Bilbao. Spurs won and should have kicked on. United lost but look how they went about their business. Now 3rd in league.
Not to interrupt the course of the thread, but with the expanded competitions, modern pressball tactics, PSR, and the ever-increasing strength of the bottom of the Premier League, the advantage of only playing once a week has become impossible to ignore or disregard.

In the last 7 seasons we've bettered 6th place or 62 points only twice, the only one with no Europe and the one in which we had a truncated Conference League campaign mostly before Conte. All of the seasons we were playing twice a week we did worse, and this is true of basically everybody who has non-Europe seasons for comparison.

The parachute payment is 55% of the TV money in the first year - which isn't £40m or the earlier figure is way out.

We're famously only spending 45% of revenue on wages, we'll be able to keep anyone we want.

You get 55% of one equal Share of domestic & international broadcast revenue . This years equal share was around £89m . 55% of 89 = 48.95.

Maybe with that extra £8.95m we can pay long term injury Madder wage 👍

Our revenue will fall off a cliff. I’m not sure where you’re getting your information from

The signed Lammens, Sesko, Mbuemo and Cunha. Thats nothing to do with 1 game a week. Spurs could play 1 game a fortnight and still be shit.

I remember the usual cunts on here in the transfer thread telling us all to shut the fuck up when some of us could see last summer how things were playing out..
They know who they are

Wonder what the morons are thinking this morning.

They're are bunch of reptilian business men and women so I'm sure they know the huge amounts of money that will be wiped off the clubs value should relegation happen

The debt is fixed low interest about £30m per season, even in the championship we can cover that with concerts, NFL and match day tickets. We will obviously have to sell the likes of Romero and VDV. If the club went bust ENIC would be fucked, they would almost certainly sell to the Middle East if that happened to get some money for it to prevent that.

We dont know if that changes in the face of relegation though do we?

There are a lot of intangibles in going down that we have no idea of.

They 100% dont sell if we get relegated though. Ashley, who is the most comparable to ENIC, didnt when they went down. He held it, waited for them to come back up etc.

@David_Ornstein
Tottenham Hotspur players face wage cuts if relegated from PL. Most contracts include clauses to lower salary (vast majority by ~50%) in event of going down. Provision placed in all deals under Levy so #THFC have some financial protection
@TheAthleticFC

Daniel Levy still saving Enic's blushes from the dead.
Sod ENIC, but hopefully that will concentrate the players minds & save their blushes to avoid Relegation. How about a comment that Players on long term contracts will not be sold.

Does this mean that if we go down, Gallagher will be over twice the best paid player? 😂
