OTOH Frank was more or less and matter-of-factly telling the media the players are shit, said this is team that finished 17th without the context around injuries and competition priorities , and then set the team to play timidly because he actually believed the players were, in fact, shit.
At this stage of his career, IMHO he is better suited at Left back. He has the speed, he can whip balls in, he can go around players, he can go toe toe with speedy wingers, and he doesn't have to make critical decisions that can lead to disaster. Its where I think the Dutch will play him at the WC.
As he matures I think he could slot in at CB.

I think Van De Ven has been a disgrace this season but he doesn't pick himself and he can only be pulled up for his poor attitude if he gets pulled up for it

I just know that the bloke will have 8 games to put it right. If he and Romero can stay fit and free from further bans this season, simply focus on their jobs, then it should help us more than hinder us.

I was as mad at VdV as everyone when that happened but at this stage we really do need to support all of them. I don't blame the fans for being in this situation but we have the ability to do our part and get out of it.
