Player Djed Spence

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's a player with so much potential. Really needs a manager that will show love, but also tough love. Needs to played at RB to utilize his one-footedness to better effect- especially when we need width, which is pretty much always.

Its obvious that without credible leadership, as with many other players, his bad habits have started resurfacing. All the more reason the club need to spend whatever it takes on getting credible leadership and coaching again.

he’s a better defender than Porro. Porro has better delivery into the box. In a 3 I think it’s worth having Porro at RWB, Spence, Romero and Danso at CB and Micky at LWB. That way there is still get out of jail pace in the back and also someone who can carry it out into midfield

I mean- he's already shown he has all the raw skills to be a great right back or wing back. At this point it's really about a coach putting him in the right position to succeed, and of course being able to communicate with them and motivate them so that he can be in the best position to put together a strong overall individual season. You need a coach that is both tactically competent AND a good manager of players. We've not had both since at least early Conte, and arguably not since Poch.

This season has been a complete effing waste, and a huge part of that is down to Thomas Frank, who turned out to be a dreadful coach for us. Everyone looks bad right now, and Spence is part of that.

I think he is epitome of young players coached since they were five. Has some ability but no heart. He’s a robot and also sucked into the football owes him a living mentality when he’s achieved very little. Definitely a player in there but he’s too arrogant atm.

Yeah makes sense to play Spence RCB rather than porro. If Igor plays Porro RCB again sack him immediately.

Needs a manager that will just play him as right back, as he is fecking shit on the left.

The quality of the performance between the two is night and day.

After watching first goal for Atletico i have absolutely no idea what he was doing in last phase. Managed to come back only to stand in no mans land between Vicario and the ball

I thought he offered nothing in the game apart from his tackle at the very end. Him and Dragusin were the only two who didn’t get pass marks last night but we had some excellent performances. If we only have two not at it and the rest are we will win most games. If we have 6,7 or more playing poorly which we have had then you see what happens
All we’ve asked is for the players to step up and most of them have in the last two games and especially last night.

just seen that back!! braindead! runs far too deep! if he is closer to alvarez likes hes supposed to be then he doesnt have the time and space to turn and shoot.

he can run but he doesnt have a brain. we need better.

He needs coaching and someone to sit down with and go through his play. Needs to close down quicker when faced with attacker. When running with a forward he is fine. It’s when the winger is facing him he doesn’t challenge. Then again most of the team are passive like that.

He’s rapid. But like a lot of young english players coming through physicality and pace will see you picked over technique.

If you have technique but lack pace and physicality you will get overlooked.

Football is for athletes these days in the top level of english football.
