Yeah definitely the same thing.

Tim's being sitting in that Sky Sports studio for over a decade, laughable to suggest that he'd be a better option than any manager in the game right now at any level 🤦‍♂️

It’s proven failure vs probably failure.

Ange’s last year and a half or so of managing in the league have been a disaster. He’s failed at two separate clubs.

The last time Ange won a PL game was in April 2024, after that he failed to win a single one for us or for Forest.

Do you think that these set of players would react to Sherwood over and Ange and do you think we'd have a better chance of surviving the drop with Sherwood over Ange?

I don’t know how the players would react - they might like Ange but I don’t think it translates to winning league matches. It hasn’t before (for ages) & I see no reason to think it would now beyond people being desperate.

Negligible difference between the two. I don’t think either keep us up. Neither are tactically sophisticated.

You're having a laugh, there's a far better chance Ange keeps us up over some failed manager who hasn't managed in over a decade, it's clear that these players need confidence and someone they need to put the effort in for, you'd get that at the very least - this is the stage we are at at the moment with these players.

Do you think when Levy told Vinai, Spurs should be winning the Champions League and the Premier League, he knew that some Spurs supporters would be arguing over whether Ange or Harry Redknapp would be the best manager to help Spurs avoid relegation?

:gallashmm:

Ange is a failed premier league manager.

Ange is a failed premier league manager.

Well actually he has finished 5th in the Premier League as well as having a 17th placed finished, not sure failed is the right word, definitely flawed - average finish is mid table and if you prefer Dyche over him that's fine but his average finish is lower than Ange's.

What's more he definitely knows how to get over the line when it matters, we have essentially 9 cup finals left and the players need to be inspired to win these matches.

I don't see many other managers out there, certainly Captain Bellend allow it lmao

He had a good start to season one and then fell off a cliff. He’s absolutely a failed prem coach. Including Forest his win percentage in the league is absolutely terrible.

Boring myth. We lost so many important games under Ange but because we won a EL final not playing his football he knows how to get over the line. What about when we needed to win to get top four and we collapsed and lost to everyone???

Let’s re-hire Juande Ramos or go see if Di Matteo is free if our basis is managers who were a bit rubbish but managed to fluke a cup.

Yeah but you don't make much sense, if you call Ange a failed Prem coach then why do you think Sherwood who took a team down to relegation and hasn't managed for 10 years is a better option?

I mean him winning trophies isn't a myth mate, there's more then tangible evidence that he has the knack of getting over the line when it counts.

Um no let's no re-hire Ramos or hire Di Matteo because they haven't managed at the top level for years.

Because I know Ange’s current level in the prem - it’s failing to win a single game for Forest and a 26% win rate for Spurs in his last season here. I don’t know what Sherwood could do. Probably fail utterly (he’s an idiot) but Ange is proven to be bad at managing in this league.

He failed to win a single thing in England. He didn’t get over the line once in England. He repeatedly failed to do so. We don’t play AZ Alkmaar here.

Is that the only reason then?

And yet still a better option than Dyche/Sherwood or any other fanciful (realistic) name you can put forward.

I don't think these other guys get a bounce out of these players and certainly don't get any inspiration, you can see what the players need - first and foremost they're not putting in any effort, not running, not even trying or fighting, they've given up.

The thing with Ange is that his teams played too open but on his run to the EL it shows that he knows what is needed to win matches, I don't think he makes the same mistake again by leaving us too open, certainly has to be better than Tudor's iteration or his kamikaze m2m press which is dragging our CB's all over the pitch

No they aren’t.

If people had to list 20 sides in a one off cup final next week to rely on to win to win a million, none of you would list Bodo.
It feels like you're judging more on history, than recent form to be honest.
Over the past couple of years or so, Bodo have to be one of the form teams in Europe because their progression has been nothing short of astonishing.

And that's without having what you call "big players" like Atletico, Milan or countless others.
So it doesn't really matter how many things they've won in the past, they are certainly hot property right now and I don't believe anyone can argue otherwise, at least, not honestly.

Haha how long have you been following this club? Our players are normally useless in finals, before the EL final we hadn't scored a goal in 4 finals in a row or something dumb like that.

The last time we scored was Woodgate vs Chelsea lol
It's kinda funny when one of the biggest criticisms levelled at Poch is that he never won a final.

Yet he is lauded and plenty are crying for his return, while shitting all over a temporary return of a manager who actually scraped us over the line in a final?!

Do I want Ange back? Not really to be honest.
BUT we know the players will respond to him and that's what we need right now, someone to get something out of these players and I can't see any better options out there really.

I was going to type out a proper response to this but fuck it.

Comparisons between what Pochettino did for Spurs and the legacy he built here and Ange are just straight up intellectually dishonest and based on childlike “well one won something and the other didn’t” bullshit.
