Richarlison should have thrown himself backwards when being pulled. Everyone does it to us. Zero penalties all season. Just too honest.
Weird that he didn't, isn't it, given that he spends most of the game doing precisely that whenever a ball is lofted up to him from the defence? I suppose he saw the goalmouth and forgot all about his usual falling over routine.

How was that not a penalty? I try to be fair minded and acknowledge I don't understand the rules as well as I should, but I had no doubt VAR would award a penalty on that.
My mate, who works at Stockley Park, managed to get this photo of the VAR guys discussing the incident.

Fuck it , I’ll say it .

I still thought we were poor , showed a bit of fight but pool went through our midfield like it didn’t exist on several occasions. Tel was often the out ball which ended in losing possession 9 times in the first half alone . Danso was calm and dealt with many dangerous situations. You can see Richie is a fighter but lacks quality. Solanke was non existent but having no one to really link up play it’s to be expected .

It’s a great result and there were improvements in effort but tactically it was a bit of a mess

2nd half was much better than the 1st half, the thing is we know quality wise we were always going to be crap, what we were looking for is the effort and desire and we got that.

Kinda agree with this. It was very messy, but tactically it was better than the previous games. They did the basics today. They fought.

Small steps.

Still think this will be a false dawn and we,'ll get our arses handed to us by forest ...

But fair play , how the fuck did we nick a point at anfield with that abomination of a lineup?
because they have been shitty most of the sason

draws at home to Sunderland Burnley and Leeds
away draw at Leeds
lost at Wolves

which is why I wanted Tudor out before the game, this wasn't a free hit there was a chance to turn them over

We need to play all those returning on Wednesday & then decide who deserves to play next Sunday. We need to win Wednesday even if it is only by a single goal and we are out of the competition to get the home fans on side and get the fear out of playing at home. Throw Wednesday will not help next Sunday as we need to get confidence on the field and in the stands at home to win. Cannot remember the last time we won the match before an international break but we need to this time.
Got to say agree with this. Rest Gray as he has been pretty much the only ever present.

If that’s true then that’s awesome. Or is it more of a slight on Liverpool
Probably because we were chasing the ball for most parts of the game and it was 1-0 after 18 mins. You don't have to run an awful lot if you are just passing it around with 65% possession and not too much intention of scoring a second.

Both but I'm looking purely from the context of us.

Liverpool often get outran this season but so have we so a 9km swing is telling.

We ran 3km less than Burnley for example and we had our lion share of possession, we've been outran in our last few Prem matches so this is a significant step that shows that we are fighting and putting the work in.
