So… erm what happens now then ?
We ain’t fucking leaving !!!!!’
Happy Cheer GIF

The one differentiator between us, Wham and Forest has been desire. It’s looked like the majority of our players were either oblivious to the trouble the team are in or not too bothered.

That changed yesterday. I’m not going to get carried away but the team looked like they definitely cared. I think some of that comes from Richy, leading from the front. He’s never going to be the best CF we’ve seen, but he at least has passion.

If they can carry this attitude into the remaining games it gives us a chance. And if players coming back don’t have that desire, leave them out. There’s no room for them.

Yesterday we had a spine that both cared and led. Richy, Gray and Danso. Build around those three as we get better players back around them the confidence and belief will follow.

If we stick with a 4-4-2 we have to play a left footer at LB e.g.:

Porro / Spence --- Romero --- Danso ---- VdV / Udogie / Souza

so much rides on that Forest game now. The result yesterday means Tudor will be in charge for it - if we lose it then I would expect he is then sacked and that point at Anfield may look like a bad point.

Beat Forest and I can see Marinakis having another meltdown and sacking the manager and Forest falling apart.

We have to start winning at home again

No point changing anything before the Forest game. Hate to say it, but it’s essential we rest Solanke and Richy mid week as the Forest game is simply so massive.

Against Forest we can field a strong team with VdV, Romero, Palhinha, Udogie, Gallagher all coming back to bolster the team that played yesterday at Liverpool.
The way they're all playing at the moment, only Romero improves us from that lot.

I'd rather Danso than VDV for Forest

If we stay up I'd be happy to sell VdV and replace him with Vuskovic in the squad. I'd like to keep Romero (as I think he is a world class CB) but understand he may have burnt too many bridges and also think that Danso and Vuskovic could become a really effective CB pairing for us.

It is important but we have Sunderland away, Brighton home and wolves away afterwards when we should hopefully have a couple of players back from injury. Dont lose v Forest then win 2 of those 3 and we will have done enough I think.

Hope not, what he's awful? Relying on teenagers is partially the reason we're in this mess.

The bundesliga is miles of the pace , and physicality of the prem and he's a slow as dragusin if not slower. Think He needs to be eased into the prem with minutes here and there , rather than thrown in.

If/when we sell Romero and VDV the club better go out and get proper replacement

All I wanted to see was some fight. Just show us that you want it.

It just goes to show what a poorer quality team can actually do with the right mentality. Pound for pound, today's starting group of players aren't as good as the opposition. But they fought, they worked together and stayed in the game.

I don't care about the midweek result, but take this fight into it, whatever happens, happens. Keep this momentum going.

Igor has BIG decisions to make. We looked more balanced in the 4-4-2 formation. And this group of players were definitely playing for him today.

I think all fans want to see fight. Quite how we determine that is often based on results, which I always think is slightly unfair because the result is often the metric that is applied to assess the levels of effort or the tactics.

The least we should always see is objective effort. Heads not going down, some degree of organisation that looks like an instruction that is being followed.

Yesterday does not mean survival anymore thah losing would have meant relegation, but the players and Tudor now have something to believe in. So do the fans.

Wednesday is a pity because it might get in the way of that sense of momentum and messaging but it night also help to take all minds off the Forest match until Thursday.

Tudor needs to get the team right, not just formation but personnel. He has to be able to look at Ronero, if fit and Van Der Ven, and trust that they will give everything, without losing their heads. He has to see that they will lift and not inhibit or damage the team. Both have been miles off where they needed to be this season, in my opinion.

But yesterday has made today a lot lighter and the back pages not something to avoid.

Long way to go and I am convinced a twist is to come.

Let's stay up fighting.

I’ve never ever been a Richarlison fan, in fact, I’ve called for us to bin him every transfer window for the past 3 years. But the last few weeks, I have had the nagging thought that he might be the one to spearhead our survival charge. Despite the stress it causes me watching him try to control a ball, he’s one of the very few in the squad that I would never accuse of being an absolute shitebag.

If he scores the goals that keep us up, all will be forgiven.

And then I’ll ask once again that we flog him off to Saudi this summer (I actually probably wouldn’t given the lack of decent strikers out there at the moment)
Well we always sell our top goal scorer so ......

And we also need to be clear. Liverpool and filth are the best 2 teams we will face, player for player, between now and the end of the season. One of those two has now been played.

It's up to Tudor to ensure that level of fight, allied to cohesion and playing within the boundaries remains.

Against so-called lesser sides, that can bring us the points we need, and maybe quite a bit more.

The best 2nd best thing about potentially staying up, other than staying up... will be the absolute meltdown and disappointment from the entire football community just POISED with their sticky little fingers over the SEND button with all their pointless, wasted gloating memes!

Leeds against Brentford next weekend is the Saturday match, Forest, West Ham and we will be looking at.

If Leeds fail to win they are right up against it. Forget the games they have to play as opposed to the pressure they will start to be under, despite a very good point gained yesterday.

Then the 2 big games on Sunday.

Don't worry. Those worthless gutter rats at Paddy Power will think of something
