Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They are so fucking obvious in giving us whatever shit decisions. I remember Levy used to have some influence in the league. After he's gone nothing has been going well with the Vinai cunt in post.
Vinai doesn't care at all. He's probably interviewing for new CEO roles in areas outside of football. He wants out more than any of the players!

We complained about Levy but the football team did actually matter to him. He watched every game and wanted us to win. did he do enough to make us compete at the top? No, he left us short. But he did care and wouldn't let anyone take advantage of us. This PGMOL stuff is becoming insane. Pick on spurs is the game. The longer we stay in a relegation battle the more headlines they sell!

Felt like a proper idiot when I bigged him up then he lost 4 on the bounce and looked like getting sacked.

It's taken a while but it feels like he's finally found something system-wise and got a real grip on the players' mentality, confidence, desire to run and work for team, etc. Maybe we underestimated the difficulty of the job: broken team with low confidence AND only about 12 fit players. Doesn't get much harder for a manager coming in mid-season.

All feels quite fragile atm (people will be calling for his head if we lose to Forest ofc) but provided we put in the effort and a reasonable performance I reckon we should just give Tudor the season. The Atletico game proves what we're capable of under him - let's just ride it out and pray he can replicate that in the league.

I think a lot of it was players were unfit and dejected. Igor inherited a broken team.

I still don’t know if we will get relegated or not but I do have a strong sense from now on in we will play like a football team and we will fight.

Frank should have been sacked in December or before. The only reason we are in a proper mess is Vinai/Lange tried to keep a guy totally out of his depth in a job.

If the club have any balls or bite to them then we should put out a statement today saying that we fully stand with Tudor and we are absolutely disgusted that he has been charged. We expect a swift apology from the PGMOL and the FA and to swiftly move on from this matter.

That is what we should do. It'll unite the whole club. Us against the world! Honestly fuck them. We have to tell them to fuck off. The club just can't sit back and let them bully us anymore. show some bite. I don't care if we legally haven't a leg to stand on. Put out a statement saying we stand with Tudor and that we are disgusted by the FA decision and that we stand with everything Tudor said. We can even mention our letter to the PGMOL where we questioned multiple decisions. We stand with everything he said so come after us all if you want!

So after 2 pretty good performances we've hit the 'could do worse than give it to him permanently stage'. As well as we simply cant sell Romero/Tel/Spence/Sarr/etc wherever you look.

Reckon we're 1 good result away from you know what Lange has done an ok job. 2 from perhaps Vinai is alright really.

I like Tudor, he feels like an adult that knows pro footballers unlike the last 2 amateurs and i dont think the problems were his fault at all but this club needs root and branch change and a coach that needs to be here 3 or 4 seasons for some sort of long term planning, that clearly isnt Tudor.
He's going to become that eventually. That much is clear to me.

Eventually even the moodiest of head coach finds a club where it just works. If that is here or somewhere else is up to Igor.

They are fucking desperate to see us go down.

That's why I'm worried about Michael Oliver on Sunday, he has form against us. We need to question the appointment and put pressure on. We don't fight our corner hard enough.

Anyone with eyes can see we've been on the end of a lot decisions this season and barely anything going in our favour.

After last night's performance, we're obviously not going down. I predict a 14th/15th finish...

Thats 3 games on the trot when weve conceded right after our corner. Or at least had to block on the 6yd line at LFC.

If I can see it you can bet your bottom dollar that Forest will have too. No way Tudor keeps a clean sheet if he persists with this 9 players in the box lunacy.

We are the easiest team to score against on the break in the PL, no question. It's like having the bad bits of Saint Ange all over again.

theres the reason hahaha, hes had joy from flooded boxes.

what a side he played in! juventus when they were a real elite side. hes got experience of being part of an elite side and playing football at the highest standard. the games changed a little but the fundamentals are the same, im sure hell know what a good footballer looks like after some of the players hes played with too!

this guys a winner!!

Why would the Premier League want to lose one of their biggest clubs, with one of the biggest global fan bases, with one of the highest annual turnovers, and playing at one of the best stadiums in Europe....
....and replace them with, say, Hull

What's the basis for this wild conspiracy theory?

I'm not really having a pop, but do you realise how ludicrous this is?

Yeah I got the sense Frank lacked a bit of emotional intelligence and awareness. Or better put, street smarts. You might be able to get away with that at a club like Brentford where you're merely the figurehead of a wider coaching team, but when you're the guy at a big club you've gotta be shit hot at reading people, judging the mood in a room, rousing a group.

Frank always felt a bit too rational and one-note to me. And ironically I think this is why a lot of journalists and media folk like him - cos he's a bit of an unassuming nice guy. He's relatable and nerdy like them. A manager you can imagine sitting down and doing a podcast rather than a leader of men.

The 'we walk over and clap the fans after every game' thing is a manifestation of that. At Brentford that's a nice gesture cos there's no pressure or scrutiny, but having a blanket rule like that at Spurs where the fans are raging and the media are watching every moment is just setting yourself up for failure. Especially if you're not a Klopp-like figure who can back it up with sheer charisma and/or results on the pitch.

I don't like what they did but VdV and Spence ignoring Frank was clearly borne of some deep disconnect with the manager - you don't do that, or believe you can get away with it, if the manager is someone you respect. I think they felt he was embarrassing them both on and off the pitch and it was a canary in the coal-mine. Our results fell off pretty much from that moment onwards.

Yeah, I'd love their to be a study to work out why Frank failed so badly at Spurs, but there won't be, so we are just left with using our own intuition and some common sense.

He simply doesn't have the personality, and lacked charisma to manage a big club. It's as simple as that. He's nerdy like you say, a lovely guy, but that's just the issue, when you think of Frank you think, yeah lovely guy. But you don't think, born winner, charismatic, a leader of men.

I just don't think he really knew how to do anything than keep being a nice guy and hoping it would all work out.

The lack of discipline in the squad, and time keeping etc showed that they didn't respect Frank. Then on top of that, you have his style of play, too much time focused on stopping the opposition, and you can see why the players didn't take to him.

If you are someone like Romero, it's easy to see why you would find someone like Tudor, who has played for Juventus at the highest level, a club you also have an affinity to, much more relateable and a man to respect, than Frank.

It's just the way it is. Yeah we can think the players are idiots, but ultimately a managers job is to get the best out of the players, and get them onside and performing.
