Harsh but fair. He has been hugely over sold and brought into it by the gallon. He isn't a centerback at all, no real nose for danger and can't mark well truned too easily but has blistering pace. Im not sold on his passing as some, the Jan Vertonghen parallels are junk Jan was a footballer this bloke isn't. Id play him LB or not at all.

But he's been awful, attitude even worse. I feel no need to coddle him and make excuses for him while he's been shit and petulant.

Spence could do better. But that's fully on Micky. Outlandish to suggest he's not ultimately responsible.

I'm very much looking forward to him and his ego heading to the exit.

His passing is poor overall. He can have the odd game, but that's the exception. His positioning is all at sea as well. Wonder pace digs him out of so much trouble. Heading for a giant is pretty pathetic too.

Netherlands have sussed it, and he'd be a great left back. Ben Davies with a bit of pace.

If as a defender you are passed on a player to deal with that’s your responsibility.

That's never the way it works though..the key is in the passed on bit. Ive seen players fuck up then throw you under the bus by the last second shout of 'yours!' Or worse the point into space. They are both full of crap but VDV own tgat 60/40 IMHO.

Guess everyone looks at these things differently.

For me if you have a 3 v 2 defensive overload in your own box and you choose to leave one of their best forwards by themselves on the penalty spot while you stand on the 6 yard box like a dummy I would be going fucking mental.

Why mark thin air???

A week ago I had the knives fully out for Tudor, 2 matches later and I'm halfway towards envisioning the next 4-5 happy years with him at the helm!

I thought that - especially after he copped a hit in our box. I assumed that's why he was subbed but apparently not.

And whatever the thinking was about subbing him and Spence it didn't work. We looked shocking from the moment the second half kicked off. Completely unbalanced.

He’s shite. A terrible defender. VDV and Romero probably the most overrated CB partnership I’ve ever seen.

Can anyone remember when they both actually played well together? Or even on their own?

VDV is all pace and has fuck all else. In terms of defensive ability he’s championship level.

hes had a drop off since hes clearly been unhappy. the glass is broken now tho so he needs to be moved on.

theres big problems in the dressing room, its an awful mix of bad characters, the disrespect he and spence showed frank was telling, get these cunts out the club.
