Yeah, well done him on doing that while leading us to 17th place.
Can we stop acting like Ange squared the circle?

Nottingham Forest, who are likely to be relegated from the PL, just qualified for this year’s Europa quarterfinal.

The most recent Europa title holders are also under relegation threat, as even some Ange bitter enders may be aware.

Europa is not what it once was.

That, and we won the final in spite of both he and ourselves. It paints a silly picture of this sort of ‘champion of Europe’ talk surrounding the man who was sacked twice from PL clubs in six months with no wins between.

It’s time to let go

Preaching to the choir mate. You’ll be met shortly with “omg you hate spurs, you didn’t enjoy the trophy win” nonsense for daring to put something in to fair context. I think I’m very much done engaging with it directly as it’s just hugely disingenuous nonsense with people refusing to engage with any kind of facts.

The EL is massively short on quality currently, yes. All the facts point to this. But there’s no point trying to explain this to some people as they’ll just screech “European trophy” as if making it sound sexy changes this.

I said it before - Forest winning the EL and getting relegated is entirely possible. The quality is that poor. The best teams are probably Villa, Porto & Bologna. A who’s who of Europe’s elite that.

His next club should be a club who will match his ambition and his play style, his system won't work with crappy players as it's so risky, I'd imagine someone like Man City would be salivating at the prospect of taking him on post Pep if it wasn't for Maresca and Enrique who are on the market in the Summer.

Now go and have a look who our previous coaches who were more established than Ange were knocked out by in the same competition, the mighty Gent and Dynamo Zagreb lol

EL wasn't what it was but it doesn't make a difference compared to what nonsense we used to serve up in the same competition anyway.

If better managers with better teams cannot get past the QF stage getting knocked out by equally poor clubs then what does that actually tell you?

They’d say ‘you didn’t enjoy the trophy’ but let’s be honest, it’s a trophy and that’s all you can say for it. The competition is lower than any of the domestic cups. Any of those would mean more. Palace won more than we did.

I don’t comprehend the focus on winning an honor even if it’s third rate, when the football team is shit. If we finished second in the league they’d claim winning Europa was more, though the second finisher in the PL is one of the better clubs in the world. And winning Europa is a pack-in prize compared to our aspirations of winning the league and the CL and all the rest. I want a fucking powerful club that can win the league, not one that’s touting getting off a toss every 20 years

No one will hear of it, the banter online from other fans broke people’s brains into thinking that cup would cause people who have hated us and bantered us for generations to suddenly respect us. Shockingly they did not.

We all do but we are very far from it. And it's not a manager's fault. Remind me who is (are) our team's star(s).
We tried to get some silver elseware but since the FA and League cup campains failed (the latter just) we got the best we could. That's all. That's all we can get with our current squad. Live with it.

Even if we stay up, sacking Postecoglou will be remembered as one of the most catastrophic decisions ever made by Spurs - a club not without its fair share of catastrophic decisions over the journey.

I feel ashamed that I thought it was the right thing to do. Even though I knew - and had stated many times - he was overachieving with this squad, I still went along with the sheep who baaa'ed our way to relegation.

Shame on all of us. Hopefully we all learn from this humbling experience. :levystare: :ange-bored:
Never read such crap...

He didn’t win a single premier league game for them. Including against the likes of fucking Burnley.

People are always so full of excuses for Ange’s failures and shortcomings. It’s never his fault. Players were injured. It was hard. They had a good xG.

He loses. Loads. 1 win in his last 19 managed league games. There’s no excuse for this level of failure. He just isn’t up to the challenges of being a premier league coach. That’s ok, some managers are suited to a Celtic or a Yokohama FC or wherever else and Ange is one of them.
Thank you for this post...the ange fanbois are coming out the woodwork...
