I agree that Frank was the wrong manager but remember Levy played a major role in bringing him here. How do you know that he would have made the right decision in finding Franks replacement? If it's true that Paratici wanted Tudor to replace Frank in Nov/Dec then we know that would have happened with Levy here because he trusted Paratici so much.

In 25 years as chairman he only got two managerial appointments right. Redknapp and Poch. Plus one DoF right , Arnesen.......Levy is an imbecile when it comes to football
Jol was the right appointment and so was Conte albeit a few months late.

Getting Jose and Conte was a coup and, very unusual for such high-profile coaches to join a team that was not successful.

Jose couldn't get a tune out of Ndombelly, Dele Alli and Lo Celso - and the club had no desire to sell them. With no backup strikers and Eriksen on the way out, it was the Kane and Son team.

Conte had a very good squad. The 2nd season should have seen Spurs challenging for the title. Injury to Hugo and an inability to keep any of the CB's consistently fit was the downfall. The midfield was also lacking, with Bissouma and Bentencur again rarely fit.
Conte had an atrocious squad outside of Son and Kane. No way can you challenge for the title with an aging Lloris as your keeper and Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Langlet and Romero as your cbs. The wingbacks and midfield options were midtable at best. It was a really poor side.

I actually think the fact he qualified for the champions league the previous season with essentially a bottom 10 team and only 2 world class players is one of the great overperformances in the premier league.

That was pretty much always Levy's model. When we had Bale and Modric, we could have pushed on and signed some quality to really give things a go. But no. Top 4 was enough, we had achieved our goals on the cheap. Same with Kane. Same with Son.

Now we don't have any quality and unsurprisingly find ourselves on the cusp of relegation.

Until ENIC sell, nothing will change. Except for next season, of course. Where we'll be playing in the fucking Championship.

That ENIC/Joe/Levy hired Lange and Vinai in the first place then not sacking them shows they shouldn’t be running this club. We are where we are because our club level decision making is shocking and has been for 5-10 years.

The club being relegated is what these owners deserve.
Mismanaged for years, everything is now coming home to roost.
Fans don't deserve it of course, they pay their high ticket prices for an inferior product.
Enic have been fleecing fans for years. No desire to challenge at the top or, for any top prizes.
They have hoodwinked some of the fans into thinking they mean business.
We were told by some fans who believed this shite that, be careful what you wish for or, we could end up doing a Leeds or Portsmouth.
Well now, we are exactly following that path by dropping out the league.

"atrocious squad" is reaching. This is a decent squad - that once again, got fucked by injuries; with only Kane and Son making more that 25 starts.

Lloris
Romero Dier Sanchez
Porro Holjberg Bentencur Perisic
Kulu Son Kane

Bench : Lenglet, Davies, Royal, Richarlison, Moura, Sessegnon, Bissouma, Sarr, Skipp

It's basically an upper mid-table/Europa squad with 2 world class forwards. A really good manager can push for 3rd/4th with that lot but it's not a title challenging squad.

The thing is also that Conte's a super specific manager who tends to target unusual players that aren't great long-term buys but give him what he needs to get over the line in the short term. See Napoli getting McTominay, Lukaku and Billy Gilmour then winning Serie A.

If you bring him in you basically gotta suck it up and buy him some players he wants - if you treat like like a 'project' guy and just target value buys and 'club signings' you get a useless angry cunt who walks out mid-season.

As others have said, I think him getting us top 4 in his first season is fucking incredible given what he was working with. He's a top manager but seemed to me like Levy was never ever gonna give him what he wanted or needed to succeed.

weve lost more games in the last 2 seasons than any club in top 5 leagues ive just seen! fucking disgraceful! what a rotten culture we have. someone needs to sort it ASAP, get rid of 10 of the bad personalities and replace with men that want to win.
