It’s almost like when people make cowardly indirect sarcy posts aimed at essentially calling other people thick, they deserve equally nasty treatment.

I am a bad person to people who are bad people. If you don’t want to be treated like a total arsehole, don’t be one. Or you will get the worst treatment in the world.

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!!!

Poke her! poke her with the soft cushions!!!

Because he knew he had 0 chance on the PL, ...all he was doing is deflecting and preparing his excuses...yes, he got lucky but don't delude yourself because you're an Aussie...
Of course he knew. He's not an idiot. God himself would have no chance in the PL with the current squad and injuries. He didn't need any excuses (for rational people that is, because some people in here thought that this squad should fly up the table 😀).

We're never going to fly up the table...it'll be a long hard haul..I don't think we're going down this season...just my mindless optimism...

Never said by him. See what’s happened is you’re thick enough to see a picture of him next to a quote on Facebook and take it at face value.

Maybe a few lessons in critical analysis rather than wasting your time trying to seem more intelligent than you are by quoting important sounding people.

Might help you get less routinely humiliated.
You seem to have taken the quote rather personally. 🤔

Interestingly, I did say 'I think' it was Leonardo. I'm quite happy to acknowledge it wasn't. It was an embedded, as it turns out, false memory from my school days over 50 years ago. Mixing up Leonardo with Machiavell as a result of my old man's memory is not really an egregious mistake.

If you think I feel humiliated by that little mistake you should see me when I royally fuck up, which I regularly do.

I would suggest anyone who has suggestions for what should be on a curriculum should know who quotes are attributed to.

Your attempt to use the quote was sneering & pompous, and I found it amusing that behind all that sneering pomposity, you weren’t even very educated about the source. It was deliciously apt.

I can believe it. Last week we had absolutely zero chance of relegation and this week you’re putting words in Da Vinci’s mouth. I can’t wait to see what is next.

Indeed! Sneering pomposity is my forte. I do rein it in a little on this forum, but you should see me in full flow.

...says the man who felt the need to google the quote.

View From The Lane (probably belatedly) discussing the idea of Postecoglou returning as Interim.

Consensus seems that they all see the obvious upsides (familiarity with playing style; motivational; already has dressing room etc...)

But Kilpatrick and Pitt-Brooke both felt the reputational damage in case of failure would be too great... for Postecoglou to risk taking on.

I'm sure that take will go down well with some of our more... excitable frequenters of this thread. :D

He clearly stated that he spoke to the squad about binning the league for the cup. About them getting their pictures on the wall to go with the old black and white ones. That they’ll get pelters from everyone because their league form was going to be shit but it’ll be worth it when they win the cup.
Have not heard one player come out and say that wasn’t the case.

So I would say it had everything to do with him.
My biggest peeve with Ange.

He talked a big game about how we should want to win every match- remember his outrage around the Man City game that would help Woolwich if we won. Winners want to win every game.

And then...boasted about throwing away months of PL matches. Losing became normal for these players, so damaging.
