Player Luka Vuskovic

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was exaggerating but the point remains, he has no loyalty to us whatsoever at this point. Also calm your tits lad, christ.

There is no loyalty in football outside of a very few people. Football is just contracts and if you have a players on more than 2 years it’s your decision and yours alone. You keep or sell fora price that makes it worth your while. This kid might be the best U21 defender in Europe so £100m plus or so might be the price to make it worth our while. Someone meets it he is gone if not he stays with us.

It will be the same with Bergvall and Gray, they ain’t Vuskovic’s level but ain’t no way we are selling for less than £70-80m for them. If they had short contracts then we would have been screwed but our top talents are all long contracts.

Let’s make this kid player manager , he won’t stay with us very long so let’s break him into little pieces .

Of course I don’t fucking mean it , right now he is the only bright spot at our shitshow of a football club

Your first sentence is absolutely right but contracts are only there to ensure seller gets a fee. If these kids want to leave, especially if we get relegated then whether we like it or not, they will leave and sadly our position will mean we take a buyer friendly price. Not ridiculous, but if Vuskovic is 100m (which isn't far fetched when Yoro and Jacquet both went for 60m) then we will probably have to accept 80m-85m as we will need to generate revenue. Ultimately, the squad as we know it will be completely different in the Championship. Anyone young and ambitious (Gray, Bergvall) will go and anyone on high wagers will be asked to go. If we can't sell them, they will be loaned out (Gray maybe to Leeds for example).

We’re all just talking here. All just groundless opinion on this and every other thread.

He may feel he owes us for looking after him and giving him the opportunity to develop. He may think a season with us in whatever league will help him develop further. He may want out as soon as he gets here.

Fucked if any of us know, just chatter man.
Absolutely, but you can infer the type of player he is from how he's conducted himself to date.

He wanted the move because he himself said he wasn't at the level Romero and VDV were, so he's development focussed rather than chasing the "big move." I get the impression that there's an old head on young shoulders there.

He strikes me as the type of person that realises there are a lot of years ahead of him to develop his game. One who realises that talent alone will only take you so far, you work and build towards the top level, rather than expecting it just because you're talented. This, as much as his talent, is why I think we do not sell at any cost now.

I'm convinced he's destined for the top, so we need to ensure we get the best we can out of him, and hope that he, and the other talents we have, mature together and take us up a few levels.

I'd be enormously surprised if he agitated for a move at this stage of his career, regardless of whether we stay up or not. I can honestly see the club bringing him back next season and him getting a lot of minutes. I think he's ready.

When/if Vuskovic plays for us and is this great centre half, okay but fcuk me.

What a load of words on nothing once again.

Utterly pathetic.

In tribute to Chuck Norris dying last week:

Luka Vuskovic once got most defensive contributions as an unused sub.

Franco Baresi has a poster of Luka Vuskovic on his bedroom wall.

The last person to win as many arial duels in a German shirt was The Red Baron.

etc,

Any one see him against bloody Brazil in at full international level. Did ok. He is learning to compensate against pace, took a professional foul to stop a break( was the correct call) not easy night for him but competitive in a backs to the wall game against a dominant team. Still looking every bit the prodigy.
