Agreed, similar profile, but is Dragusin that much of a better player? Yet to see evidence of that myself.
Gray scores from the edge of the box, nice finish.
How he's not getting called up to the England squad, but Jordan Henderson is, very strange.
Yea, people are sleeping on Philips because of Vuskovic but playing regulaly and now captaining a championship team at 20 is pretty impressive. Seems fairly quick and decent on the ball. Might not end up a world beater but exactly what we need as a squad player
Still begs the question would it be better for him in the long term if he has another season of weekly 90s, rather than getting splinters with us for a year (no Europe next season remember)....... And if we're being totally honest; ditto Vusko if he's not slated as a starter next season.
Guess it depends on who we sell but Philips has racked up 100 or so games in the championship so not much more he can do at that level.
I recognise that with where we are at as a club, a prem loan to a lower table team won't offer as it usually might (again unless he's slated to be a starter); but a successful Champo promotion charge? .......Stoke are currently 15th afterall.

It’s competitive in that England midfield but if he keeps playing like he has been, you never know.
Probably still too soon though.
Is Mainoo much, if any, better? Completely different types of midfielder but I honestly prefer Gray. He's certainly more athletic and gets around the pitch better than Mainoo which suits the way England try and play.

He seems to be literally adding more clubs to his bag by the game.
Recently he's added sweeping cross field passes and goals, along with an extra burst of pace that he didn't have before.
There's a lot to like about this kid and I hope he becomes a mainstay of this club for many years.

He's starting to trust his passing more and play between the lines, being more brave on the ball.
Presumably he will be a starter ore often than not next season, I think it will be a breakout season for him.

Yeah, agreed. Seems to have everything to become a top midfielder.
AG is genuinely the only true bright spot from this season. He has really grown in adversity. No-one ... ffs ... not one of the other lazy bastards has truly done that. Not one.
Ok, it's probably fair to give a bit of credit to Tel, as he has improved a bit, having had a hard time of it. And Byfield has looked decent for a young guy coming in to the malaise. That's it though.

Archie is still a very young lad. In the couple of last games he has come by in leaps and bounds. We've got a good your crop that just needs to be developed.
