Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah, they do that a lot. They even copy his hat-trick posts on social media and stuff. He's beloved at Bayern by the fans and staff, including the players. Obviously, I'd like to see him back at Spurs but I'm glad they appreciate him, like the Spurs fans, at a world top 4 club. He deserves it. Seems like a fantastic bloke, quite apart from his footballing achievements.

A Ballon D'Or for him - an Englishman who completely breaks the traditional mould for attractive, flashy, dramatic stars - would hit like crack. It's kinda sadistic that if he'd had a chain of affairs with hookers, he'd probably garner recognition more in line with his ability. Kane is like if a Tesco manager found a genie at 21 and wished to be the best striker in the world.
He well deserves an individual accolade.
One of the best players of all time.

I fucking told you we'd be relegation fodder once he left. He was a mug for sticking around as long as he did. Should of gone the season after champions league final.

‘I’d buy him for 150 million’ — Notorious cheapskate Uli Hoeneß admits Bayern Munich didn’t pay enough for Harry Kane

FC Bayern absolutely rinsed Spurs on that deal

Uli Hoeneß parts with money like a mother parts with her children, but even he admits Harry Kane was worth every penny. Bayern Munich signed the England captain from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 for a club record fee of 100 million euros.
Back then, questions were asked. About his age, about his price, about his injury history, whether FC Bayern could have gotten a better deal out of Daniel Levy. There was a lot of doubt surrounding the transfer.
Now, three years on, no one is asking questions any more. The Harry Kane transfer is, in a word, a success. A bigger success than anyone could have imagined. Least of all Uli Hoeneß.

Poor guy has been talking to the media lately, and he can’t shut up about how good Kane is. “Today, I’d buy him for 150 million,” he told Goal (via @iMiaSanMia). “Because he’s a dream for Bayern Munich. A global figurehead. A good character, a role model for our youth, our 18-year-olds. He puts his arm around them. He tells them how they need to strike the ball.”
He didn’t just say it once, but twice, telling German outlet kicker (via @iMiaSanMia): “Many thought: 100 million? They’re crazy. Me too, by the way. Today I would buy him for 150 million. Harry Kane is a global figurehead, a good character, a role model for our young 18-year-olds. He takes them under his wing, tells them how to strike the ball and so on. The big stars have to earn real money, the mid-level stars have to be a bit cheaper.”
Of course, saying this right before your club is about to enter into contract negotiations with Kane probably isn’t the best move. However, Uli has never been a man to mince words, he speaks his mind. The fact that he sees the Kane transfer as an unequivocal success perhaps bodes well for other big money signings in the future. It’s always easier to splash the cash a second time when the first time goes so well.
