You've just made my point even clearer. Somehow, for some reason, the injuries for Postecoglou are more valid than the injuries (of similar number) for Frank.

You guys will argue until you're blue in the face that the injuries during Postecoglou's tenure were more important than the injuries during Frank's tenure, thus excusing Postecoglou's 17th league position and refusing to excuse Frank's.

it's a tad deranged, and irrational.
And after reading walter walter 's articulate, thoughtful and balanced post, that's the best reply you can come back with?
It's almost as if you've taken no notice of a single word he wrote.

You sure about your eyesight....or are you being deliberately obtuse. Besides your post being full of contradiction it is largely inaccurate i.e. if I may be so bold to say his ''current tenure' was explained (by me) as 'scone'.

To start by saying "there is no" then quickly follow with "other than" is indeed an indicative pointer towards decrepitude a fact borne out by the misuse of the term hyperbole.

The thread matter is there for all to see simply as it is titled in Ange Postecoglou no more no less, how it shapes up is inevitably influenced by post content so don't presume to tell me how I view or interpret what is posted....oh and have a bit more respect for your elders.
That was a very boring response, with a breathtaking display of lack of reading comprehension.

I would also like to contribute to the 5000 page total. So here is my contribution:
Ange managed us for a bit, but now he doesnt.
Youre Welcome Maui GIF

I'd be surprised at anything else to be honest. It is The Fighting Cock after all!

Thanks for the kind words anyway.:contekiss:
It was a very good post and didn't deserve such a stupid response.
It does feel like some people don't come here to discuss Spurs, they just come here to vent their moronic, lonely virgin, small man complex, fury at people they don't even know.

I don't like the ignore function but I do sometimes wish there was a twattish post filter! 🤣

I learnt long ago if you want reasoned, balanced football debate, this is not the forum to come to. It's why I post so infrequently.

There are a number of articulate, intelligent posters, whose opinions are often worth reading. There are also a good number of regulars, who at least offer amusment / entertainment along with their idiosynctratic takes.

And then there's the rest...

Still it's a great place really, and I wouldn't change anything (apart from perhaps bringing back the NSFW nudey thread...)

What other forums do you use?
I do like this place and it's nothing if not entertaining but it can be hard to find balanced views on anything, it's hard to have a decent discussion.

I'm only bringing Frank's name into this thread to highlight how a rational person would provide the same excuses about his tenure as Postecoglou's, and that it's arguably irrational to not give both managers the same allowance.

Isn't what what rational people do?
It would be consistent to say that both Ange and Frank were shit and neither is fit to manage a burger van, or to say that neither of them were bad and it was all the players' fault.

The truth is somewhat more nuanced, but not extremely so.

Both were poor managers here, but Frank did do a fair job at Brentford. He has some modicum of PL success on his CV. Ange went to a club of a similar level to that and lasted as long as a flu.

Either way, they are small time managers and not suitable for a big club, or in Ange case not for PL football at all.

Ange took us over just as our top scorer and arguably, best player in the PL era, was leaving. Suffered through numerous injuries to important players. Got us 5th and a trophy win. Had his issues with fans, but managed to get through two entire seasons without sucking off our main rivals.

Frank took us to the cusp of relegation, with a stronger squad and less important injuries, playing absolutely awful football. Drank out of an Woolwich cup and took most press conferences with their cum on his stupid face.

Ange wasn’t good enough. Frank was a fucking nightmare. To consider Frank to be anywhere near the manager that Ange is, is pure trolling or quite staggering stupidity.

There's a reason why he's literally our worst manager who has ever managed us but only on TFC you'll get people trying to paint him in a good light.

I did forget a third option as to why people do this to add to trolling and stupidity - coping with their extremely firm assertion that anyone would be better than Ange.

A number of posters went strong here and can’t just man up and admit they were wrong. Doesn’t even mean they would be wrong about Ange not being good enough, just about the “anyone else would be better” thing. Pussies to a man.

But, and this isn't a defence of Frank but merely pointing out the points you've brought up unequally...

didn't Frank take over with us on the cusp of relegation and just as, arguably, our 2nd best player in the PL era was leaving (and 5th all-time goalscorer).

Also not sure how we can say 'a stronger squad', because almost all of our starting forwards from the previous season were missing.

I think Frank is a very competent football manager but just was never ever the right fit for this football club. Without the injury crisis he would have had us somewhere between 8-15th.
