I wanted us to go for Gyokeres when he was still at Sporting.
But I tell you what, Luis Suarez may be even better.
26 appearances for 24 goals and 5 assists.

Why? Workhorse midfield dominates the middle of the park. Richarlison and Solanke provide the flair and goals. Dragusin impact sub. I don’t see the weaknesses.
Skipp & Winks are about to get Leicester relegated to League one ...

Solanke would stub his toenail 3 weeks into the season and be injured for 6 months

See above for Richarlison too , he's far too brittle for the championship

I'd be going all in on Danny Ings and Nathan Blake if we go down. Given their age and, indeed the fact that one is and has been retired for some time now, I'd masking tape them together creating a hybrid player. Danny Blake or Nathan Ings. Whatever it takes.

I mentioned Gyokeres because he moved from a supposedly crap league to the PL.
But the crux of my post is that I think Suarez would be a good punt for the right money.

Yeah but here's the thing, every striker in that league looks good until they play in the Prem

Gyokeres
Nunez
Boa Morte
Slimani
Postiga (lol)
Eder

I think the teams not named Sporting, Benfica and Porto are so far behind the rest of the league these guys feast on these bottom feeders making them look better than they are, fraud league.

Gyokeres was absolutely bullying CB's and used to run into so much space in that league, he's done alright because he's playing in a dominant team but I haven't seen many goals he's created for himself.

A lot of strikers struggle to adapt to the prem because the intensity is so much higher. You have less space, the standard of opposition is much higher, you have less time on the ball, chances are few and far between and the pressure on and off the pitch is significantly higher.

We saw it first hand with players like Carlos Vinicius and Vincent Janssen (Dutch league). Woolwich are seeing it (to a lesser extent) with Gyokeres. Suarez might adapt but you don't go spending the £60m+ they'd want on "might".

He's 28. What's more likely, he's playing in a strong team in a piss league or he has miraculously found world class form.
