Tears were nothing to do with Spurs but the fact he may miss the World Cup.
Didn't Zico turn out for someone rubbish?
I don’t like his attitude, but he’s miles better player than Danso or Dragusin.
I suspect the tears aren't for missing world cup as I don't see how he isn't fit for unless it's a weird kulu type
'knock"
Think the tears are more for that was maybe his last appearance in a spurs shirt .
Personally I think he does care in a way. He may not wanna be here anymore, especially under these owners but I don't think he wants to leave the club in the dumpster it's in
Valid opinion to have.
I know he wasn’t great this season. But I would rather see him on the pitch at any moment than Danso. I saw Danso today he was lost, just like hr was lost against Forest. Don’t get me wrong, Romero had his bad moments, but it’s still much better than anything we have.He clearly has the ability to pick a pass in ways that Danso will never have. Nobody can deny that.
But so much about his game is maddening. His penchant for mad runs forward that may yield a very occasional chance, but much more often leaves us out of shape and vulnerable. The way he puts his foot on the ball and slows play to a stop when we seem to be trying to actually get moving. The guarantee that, if he takes a hard tackle, he will give one back for a definite card. His card madness generally. And surely the fact that he has been our captain--what role should a captain have, in terms of motivation and inspiration?--in our worst season in modern history has to be in the negative column too.
Put all of that together, and I will take Danso's stay-at-home defensive reliability over the Romero package. I will be glad for the day that we sell him and see the back of him for good.
Funny that. We were fairly solid defensively until he went off, then we were all over the place. They were sustaining attacks.
Zico never won the World Cup
Tears of joy?!I suspect the tears aren't for missing world cup as I don't see how he isn't fit for unless it's a weird kulu type

Also that was a non league team he played a few mins for.
Nzonzi won the World Cup with France in 2018 and is currently back playing at Stoke.
Could’ve had about 7 yellows.
But that stay at home defensive reliability made us worse defensively when he came on. If you watch it back, we were all over the place defensively after Romero went off.He clearly has the ability to pick a pass in ways that Danso will never have. Nobody can deny that.

Seems a bit far fetched this theory. I'm no expert but those looked like genuine tears to me.His tears were a PR campaign for his image for when he gets sold in the summer. The “passionate captain” that cried because we’re getting relegated when in reality he’s wanted no part of being at Spurs for a good 18 months now.
The midfield substitutions seemed to make us a lot more vulnerable, so I think there’s more to it than the straight Danso/Romero swap. But that stay at home defensive reliability made us worse defensively when he came on. If he was standing on the ball on a break opportunity then fair enough but against a set defence just passing the ball quickly doesn’t automatically mean good. Baiting pressure disrupting shape and passing through lines is more effective than passing quickly into someone who isn’t in a position to do much with it or just passing sideways. Passing quickly especially in that area doesn’t mean good. Big miss conception
