I mean we have been told. It was described as "a knock" because at the time that's what it looked like. Unfortunately it was a knock that caused underlying damage to the cartilage of the patella - a very rare but extremely serious injury. Also hard to diagnose. and hard to recover from.

There is no "mystery". Just incredible bad luck.

Whilst I’m not a Naval Architect ;
“ a knock “ did for the Titanic.

Bottom line it’s a near-meaningless term that Arthur Rowe might have used back in the day.

Hopefully the international experts ( who use more precise and technical language) will have worked out what went wrong and came up with a practicable plan to fix if .

For his sake and our’s .

In fairness an iceberg moves quicker than pre-injury Kulusevski

Given the time he’s been out and the fact he wasn’t exactly an athlete pre injury it’s unlikely he’ll ever be anywhere near the same player physically.
Basically his top level career is over so he’ll probably hang around here for another few years.

Generally players who aren’t athletes survive injuries better as they are not pace reliant. It’s normally explosive players that do worse with injuries.

What a load of rubbish. Your career is not long. He’s already lost a season he’s not going to spend another in the Champ if we go down.
We just don't really know though, so it's certainly not "rubbish" to think there's a chance that he'll stick around no matter what.
Maybe he feels a sense of loyalty and duty to a club and fanbase that have stuck by him through a horrendous injury and maybe, he'd feel a sense of responsibility to see us regain PL status?
He's certainly not a youngster with bad advisors around him, in which I'm specifically thinking of the infamous Defoe transfer request.

Unless you're Dejan or his family, we don't know one way or another.
